Yeah rflffl, Ex Hume league. Have watched all 3 of these boys a number of times. Schulz is ex Rams, Premiership player & Hume rep.A/c at Culcairn last year. Know his family well.
Pound boys are probably the pick at Coly. They play the smaller grounds very well.Good midfield. Brooker (coach)...
These boys will certainly help the canteen sales of pies and chips as well:D;)
I'm sure they will both be handy pick ups & well done to Henty on getting more "locals" on their list.
Great news with GWS adding Miles & Aylett to their list this week. Quality footballers & excellent characters as well. On Schulz, believe he withdrew from both bushies & rams last year to play club footy. Has already played over 50 first grade games. Whiley will develop into a very handy...
[quote=the big fly;17848972]he is travelling ok hard to tell his draft prospect, i read the last bit of your comment and that is insane he is the most down to earth bloke you will meet i know him personally and who ever said that is very wrong:confused:
totally agree. Miles is a great kid...
Talking to some Culcairn boys on sat night & they said Donnan has been struggling this year. Not sure if he's injured. Has only kicked 8 or 9 goals so far ??
Looks pretty ordinary for sure, but I believe there was a bit more to it. Think it all happened when the s___ hit the fan with the commitee or something like that. But good point. Its hard enough to field a team without losing your locals.
With Jindera being so close to albury alot of the juniors players head into town to play AWJFL, So does this make them any less a local boy if they come back ????.Is their a time frame that if a player is at a club for a certain amount of time does he become a local ???
Those juniors that head...
[quote=no orange peeler;17474243]i understand where you are going with this Power forward but it really is a moot point. For one the fact of the matter is that ALL country towns represented in the Hume league you would struggle to field one side full of locals let alone 2 senior sides.
Reasons...
Had an interesting conversation on saturday night about the state of the Hume league and the amount of money needed to field a competitive team. Also noted was the lack of supporter enthusiasm which we assumed was due to the lack of "local content" in many teams. Was wondering if anyone would be...
Osborne is my pick too. Few departures & some quality gains would have to see them favourites again. Munsen is a gun.
Culcairn could go close again. Their midfield would be near the best with Schulz, Gilson, Hutchins, Baker & Allen. Have also added the Border Mails love child, Charlton White...
Culcairn v Howlong should be the best game this week. Would expect Osborne to be too strong for Lockhart. Old Coreen sides might play some close ones but not too sure of the standard. Good luck to all teams & I hope we see some big upsets during the year.
Think the lions will be without Sam Schulz for most of the year. Fairly certain he is playing for Murray Bushrangers & is also in NSW/ACT Rams.
Hard to see BB improving enough to finish ahead of Jindera & Culcairn.
