Centrals recruited heavily last year from down south but by mid season most of them had left. These clubs must have some jobs lined up to keep all these blokes up here. Or, they have some serious coin hidden away in the piggy bank.
Colts are off and running, the young under manned Hawks didn't disgrace themselves against a physical Cape York. They only went down by 17 points in the last quarter. Any news on the other games?
Clearance list looks interesting. What's happening with Harbrow, I see his clearance was denied. I herad last year that Koch was going to Box Hill, maybe not happening now. Centrals have obviously got some coing if they're throwing around $600 a game for Bridge. None the less, it will be an...
Obviously the Cairns rumour mill is working well. I heard a few weeks ago that Koch was going to Box Hill Hawks. I also heard last week that AFL Cairns has finally appointed a new Umpires Manager. I'll be interested to see how he goes and coming from the player ranks he should do a good job.
Interesting article by Bill Wood.

That
That is very good point and one that I have wondered about since the debacle began. At no stage did the person even say where the online threats were coming from. I have often wondered if there was some sort of conspiracy happening. Who knows???
A media statement has been released from Manunda Hawks. The committee has decided not to pursue legal avenues against the 12 month suspension imposed by AFL Cairns.
You have summed it up pretty well, AFL Cairns have a lot of problems that need sorting out e.g. incompetence for one. As for Boxsall, he was involved in an altercation with a team mate and since then, has been persecuted on this forum ever since he went to play for the Hawks. If anyone was...
As for the finals on the weekend, clearly Port were the better sides on the day. Saints were clearly outclassed in the ressies and the Port back line were brilliant when Saints went into attack in the seniors.
Nothing wrong with my credibility here, I will go and have a beer with my mate Boxell, thankyou very much. And to say that your helping to promote the game, what a furphy that one is. Look at the garbage you write on here, bag, bag and bag. Worry about your own club and it's own backyard and...
Now to talk about football the game we apparently love, the Cutters showed again on the weekend that they need to work on getting the ball down the Till St wing. Great work on keeping Walshy quiet and a few times I seen him caught out of position. But while you keep old Walshy quiet, someone...
A very unfortunate set of circumstances, the league have effectively said bugger player safety. The league were the ones that rasied the issue to the Hawks in the first place and then pulled out of any committment at the 11th hour. The league have a duty of care to look after players and it's...
Congratulations to Walshy, top effort by the old fella. Considering he missed some games he did well and as he has always said, he couldn't do it without the delivery.
On another note, the young Hawks finished the season with a win over the Lions. The Hawks won the game in the first quarter...
Kiss of death for the last round -
Centrals V Saints - The turds will be flying everywhere, Sainst to kick a cricket score and Walsh to get his ton.
Port V Norths - I think Norths will be strong but won't be able to produce enough to win at the Croc Pit.
Hawks V Lions - No Brennan this...
How many weeks have they been saying this for? I think they will get a fine, my thoughts are that they will lose their community grant or whatever it's called.
Agree with comments about going down the wing and the Hawks boys put up a good fight.
Young Mooka has certainly come of age this season and has to figure somewhere in the Rising Star Awards, he's definitely got a promising future.
