I’d say both their home kit and this one clash with GWS’ home one. I like this yellow one a lot though. It looks great. Hopefully GWS change their home strip to the Never Surrender away one they wear against the Swans. It’s an awesome looking one and they should have the inverse all orange one...

You’re right. In retrospect, being the Brisbane Lions without the merger with the Bears would have been the best option and allowed them to hold onto more of their identity. Even better than that would’ve been if Oakley hadn’t sabotaged their potential move to Tassie

Agreed re the point on North/Northern Melbourne. I don’t recall Fitzroy supporters being particularly upset by the North merger model though. I was quite young so may be misremembering but my recollection is that they were largely on board and happy with that option but the rest of the clubs...

To be fair, North Fitzroy is an actual place and it doesn't give the impression it's a mixture of the two suburbs.

Let's reverse the merger, move them back to Melbourne and call the club the Fitzroy Bears.

Not so much an idea but it would be great if Collingwood could find a way to not make their long sleeve jumpers look horrendous on the home jumper. On the predominantly white guernsey they seem fin but not the home one. For some reason they always find it impossible to line up the stripes.

I was just about to ask when this was taken as the jumpers have the AFL logo (so must've been at least 1990) but Mick Malthouse isn't there and he became coach in 1990.

I really wish the AFL would make the reigning premiers logo something more distinct like that. The current one just looks like a faded logo. If they either made the letters AFL gold it would look better. Even better would be to have a premiership cup somewhere on the jumper.

Wow, that is incredibly ugly! It looks like they are all wearing sports bras with a C cup. I really hope the Giants move to their all charcoal as their home jumper and the all orange as their away guernsey. They're both great looking jumpers.

Next time we get a heritage round, Melbourne should wear this one since their members voted to merge.

The final two, particularly the black one would solve the remaining clash with North Melbourne. You could also remove the magpie and link the pinstripes to satisfy the traditionalists.
