    3rd Ashes Test England v Australia July 6-10 1930hrs @ Headingley

England probably should have gone with Victor Richardson's advice here.

Good to see Sam Gamgee getting a bowl.

    2nd Investec Ashes Test- Lord's - Day 1

No, he didn't. That's why he skied it. Got it on the up. It was the wrong shot to the wrong ball.

1st Test: Australia vs. England [Match Thread] Gabba, November 21-25

I didn't like it either. And I positively don't like KP. Guy looked like a tool.

1st Test: Australia vs. England [Match Thread] Gabba, November 21-25

Enjoying Geoff Boycott giving it to England on the BBC coverage. He really is a miserable bugger. Got to say though...not at all confident of our ability to capitalise on our advantage here. England rallied every time we had a good day last series. And our batting is brittle, to say the least.

1st Test: Australia vs. England [Match Thread] Gabba, November 21-25

Don't understand the hatred of Broad. He's an excellent bowler and very capable with the bat. And, despite his pretty boy looks, he has plenty of guts. Always gets behind the ball, takes his knocks without histrionics. Seems a class act from my point of view.

    4th Ashes Test: Australia v England, Chester-le-Street, August 9-13.

Not sure this is a pitch you ever feel settled on.

    0/101! Who predicted that?

    4th Ashes Test: Australia v England, Chester-le-Street, August 9-13.

Perfect! Might have to put at Bellerive though if we want to see it over the stands.

Cute castle. Can we have one of those over here?

    4th Ashes Test: Australia v England, Chester-le-Street, August 9-13.

If you take away all the one-eyed name-calling on here, thread would be about four pages long.

    4th Ashes Test: Australia v England, Chester-le-Street, August 9-13.

Nice shot but can't help thinking of Warne's comments about being hit for six.

    4th Ashes Test: Australia v England, Chester-le-Street, August 9-13.

Not sure it's cause for celebration.

    4th Ashes Test: Australia v England, Chester-le-Street, August 9-13.

Certainly is. And spot on. I have no problem with an umpire giving not outs if there is some doubt. Better that a hundred guilty men walk free than a single innocent goes to the gallows. Umpires will always make errors (some more than others) and they should always be on not outs.

    4th Ashes Test: Australia v England, Chester-le-Street, August 9-13.

Not going to manage a meaningful lead here. Advantage is back with the Poms.
  22. Godallblighty

    4th Ashes Test: Australia v England, Chester-le-Street, August 9-13.

There is no difference. All this carry on calling Broad a cheat is stupid.

    4th Ashes Test: Australia v England, Chester-le-Street, August 9-13.

Not sure why they took Swann off. Sids and Harris look pretty comfortable against the seamers.

    4th Ashes Test: Australia v England, Chester-le-Street, August 9-13.

Pull shot came off but my first reaction was 'Oh no!' This is not a pitch for cross bat stuff. Happy to see runs scored in ones and two with nudges and pushes.

    4th Ashes Test: Australia v England, Chester-le-Street, August 9-13.

Think we're bowling ok here. Plenty of pressure on Cook and Trott. They're not finding it easy. People finding it boooooring can hold on for the IPL.

3rd Ashes Test: Australia v England, Old Trafford August 1-5.

Bugger. Reckon Bell might have been bothered by that if he'd had to bat on.

If they're going to announce every maiden over....

To be fair, Beefy slagged off the English for it too.

Not getting it ON the wicket. Therefore terrible.
