The possibility of Essendon innocence: a travesty of justice or conspiracy theory for the ages?

The players’ defence team did not know the timing of the logging of the ban when they were found guilty in January 2016, the publication added. No frkn way could they not have known when it was listed as banned. How is that possible?

Play Nice James Hird rushed to hospital - suspected overdose

You are right to a point. You need to remember that the media are for profit organisations and they know more people will watch their news programs or read their newspapers when there is a smattering of this type of coverage. The wider public are as responsible as the media although they don't...

Play Nice Is Gil really this much of a fool? Jobe's Brownlow and the commission's "hard" decision.

I don't disagree with any of that. The post i was replying to stated that Long had said the medal should be taken off Watson. Clearly he didn't say that. It really is shit journalism getting someone so close to the club to talk about a sensitive matter like this. Bit like asking Bill Clinton if...

“I don’t really have a position on it, but I think you’ve got to go along the guidelines and rules, that’s what they’re there for. "I don't have a position on it" is a long (pun intended) way from saying the medal should be taken off Watson.

Lachie Whitfield and GWS Officials Under Investigation

If he was looking at first offence then club would have told him to take the gamble. Makes me think this guy has been caught blowing lines before and was worried about getting his third strike. I just hope that he was blowing his lines of the arse of a 1k an hour hooker. Let's be honest, who...

I feel for you. You're caught between a rock and a hard place. Stick fat, those grand final things go alright from what i experienced a few weeks ago. For supporters like you I would be okay for Essendon to win one but not for awhile yet. I don't want Essendon to win with any banned players.

Play Nice Is Gil really this much of a fool? Jobe's Brownlow and the commission's "hard" decision.

By your way of thinking you are saying that if a sportsman contests a charge then they are more likely innocent. In Essendons case, they contested charges on the back of a continuum of bad legal advice.

    Hird to have his say

Are you suggesting the players got onto the ASADA website to determine what they are required to list on the control form but didn't bother to check what was being pumped into them while they were on the site? That's bullshit. They would most likely been under the impression they should list...

AFL 360 and Footy Classified - Essendon Decision Specials & ABC Hird Interview/Q&A

Robbo mentioned the word carnage on several occasions. Carnage is what Robbo inflicts on any media organisation he has anything to do with. Full credit to Gerrard for not face palming whenever Robbo opens his mouth. Gill has got a beautiful head of hair. That's what I've got to say about that.

Which makes me think it would be hard for them to sue the club. They were educated on what to do regarding injections and chose not to take any action. It would be interesting if they do sue the club and the clubs defence is that they were in on it.

Appeal ASADA v Dank (AFL) WADA V Players CAS(Nov), WADA v Dank? New evidence players tested TB4

The terminology used in this thread reflects that of the doping world reported in the media. If swimmer X test for high levels of a particular thingie then it is reported as a positive test. If swimmer Y test for a slightly lower level of the same thingie then there is no positive test. The...

WADA finds high tb4 levels in Bombers pair.

Why? Their test are not positive for illegal levels of tb4 as I understand it. They are simply higher than normal. It doesn't prove anything but would certainly help the circumstantial case they already have. This is bad news for the players but no more for the 2 who's tests are being discussed.
