http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/a...ime-in-two-years/story-e6frf9jf-1226119265703Goosey highlighted defender Mark Baguley as an AFL prospect after a 31-possession best-afield display.
Baguley also collected 14 marks and even kicked two goals. The 24-year-old is hot on Collingwood's radar and recently met Pies officials.
"He’s strengths are exactly like Hibbo (Essendon’s Michael Hibberd), he’s just such a competitor. You throw the ball there and you don’t want to get tackled by him,'' Goosey said.

After playing predominantly forward for the first few years of his VFL life, Baguley has found his niche playing as a sweeping defender cum on baller and doing a very good job of it. A neat silky left footer, he just has that class about him that makes you stand up and take note.
Knightmare:Mark Baguley – medium defender from Frankston who has been linked with Pies and WCE. Well built HB type who is tough at the footy and a good user.
http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=821968Mark Baguley: High working, high character defender from Frankston VFL. Has been noted by the media that we are looking at him as a potential option.
http://www.footballnation.com.au/afl/afl-clubs/baguley-set-to-fly-up/NEW Essendon midfielder Mark Baguley believes it’s not anymore difficult to get noticed at Frankston than other competing VFL clubs even though it is a renowned cellar-dwellar.
The Dolphins have only won a handful of games over the past two years but are believed to be well on their to success in 2012.
“I don’t think it’s tougher,” Baguley told Football Nation.
“I think it’s a matter of being good enough. They’ve got a pretty good record of getting blokes drafted.”
“They’ve had one for the last three years I think,” he said.
Baguley, who joined ex-Frankston team-mate Michael Hibberd at the Bombers in last week’s rookie draft, said is confident of making a statement early and playing some senior matches in 2012.
“I’d like to think so,” he said.
“It’s just a matter of getting there and doing the training and trying to get in where ever you can,” he said.
Baguley believes he had a far better season this year than last season when he was spruiked by coach Simon Goosey as a possible draft target.
“I didn’t think I’d get drafted last year but I was a bit more confident this year,” he said.
He said that Essendon had spoken to him throughout the season and in the week leading up to the draft but hadn't trained there. Shane Valenti was on the radar at the Bombers also.
“I thought I was a 50-50 chance but when I got picked up, of course I was excited,” he said.
“I hadn’t trained there but I spoke to them during the season and during the week.”
Sorry, the title's from when he got drafted.Better than Hibberd and Hardinhgam?
Heppell to play Zaka's role, or Myers to replace Lonergan full time.Who is going to miss then, hibberd, dempsey, hardigham, dyson? I bet he probably just ends up as an emergency.
From all reports has shown enough in the VFL. We should upgrade him and see what he can do.He will probably be getting a game soon, but if he doesn't get upgraded at the end of the year Carlton and another club will be looking to grab him on the main list.
