Same kid as the one below according to the media this afternoon.

'Sydney Uni attack: Alleged teen stabber previously charged with planning ‘Christchurch-style attack’

'A 14-year-old was charged with planning a terror attack at a Sydney school less than a year before he allegedly stabbed a man outside the University of Sydney, but the charges were dismissed.

The teen was charged over what sources said were plans to carry out an alleged ‘Christchurch-style’ attack last September, but The Daily Telegraph can reveal they were dismissed in Surry Hills Children’s Court on mental health grounds in February this year.

It is understood the teen was put into a deradicalisation program under the Department of Community and Justice.

Assistant Commissioner Mark Walton confirmed the teen was known to police and government agencies, but would not divulge the nature of the interactions.

NSW Police sources said it is believed terror is a likely motive for the attack which saw the teenager, dressed in an army camouflage uniform, allegedly stab a 22-year-old student in the neck with a kitchen knife about 8.35am on Parramatta Road, near the university’s main entrance.

Jay Slater, thoughts ? theories? Was going to start a thread but not sure if its a big enough story. Let Kurve decide.

Something seems off to me, dont think everyone is telling the truth.

We can start a thread I think. I'll do it.

No surprise, known threat out on the streets thanks to our progressive legal system putting the rights of crims ahead of society. Should have been in some sort of controlled treatment facility rather than home.

Hopefully whichever "expert " said he was safe to be in the community will no longer be relied on in the justice system.

These programs obviously work :rolleyesv1:

If they don’t, it’s “mental health”.

Behaviour raised concerns

The statement of facts outlines how his behaviour over more than a month with peers at a college had raised concerns, including talking "constantly" about the Christchurch shooting massacre and "idolising" the man responsible.

"[He] spoke freely about his desire to perform a school shooting and massacre students at the school," the court documents state.

While speaking with nearly a dozen different peers, the teenager had stated he wrote a 200-page manifesto.

His Snapchat account also caused concern, the documents say.

So how many others are in community rehab programs and displaying increasingly violent tendencies which are being ignored by our increasingly soft and out of touch justice system.
