Ffs this salt thing is getting too much. You know you can have a genuine gripe about something at times. To be honest Klopp does get too involved on the touch line. He needs to calm the **** down sometimes

Calm down Mr Welchy / Salty.

Here's a tip - sprinkle some of that salt on the bigger fish that Spurs are supposedly frying up.

As for complaining about antics I don't see that as a genuine gripe. More sour grapes. Everyone took the piss out of Mou for doing the same thing.

I think it's about time Klopp was called out on it in fairness. It's getting a bit out of order.

And don't compare Poch to Morinho in terms of temperament. Poch was well within his rights to say it.

The only gripe Poch could have was Alexander Arnold being lucky to not get sent off. Winks was also lucky to not be sent off for his challenge on Ings.

Otherwise it's a case of too much salt from the saltiest PL club & it's manager.

If no one took any bait they'd be no posts!

Bloody hell man. No one was taking the bait cos no one gave a shit. I certainly didn't. The young players had a crack and lost. No harm done.

**** off. That wasn't a red offence.
Can't comment on the first beIN shit itself.

As for the last sentence. LOL.

Disappointing lack of Liverpool v Spurs melts in here.

Fairly cruisy game for us, good to see Jenko get through the 90 and Giroud get some minutes. Ox has now scored more goals in one season for Arsenal (5) than he has before, and it's only October :thumbsu:

A combined 21 changes. Probably why there's a lack of melts. It was a pretty scrappy game from both sides.

Both sides making 11 changes from the XIs that played in the league at the weekend. It was an entertaining game, first half was a bit scrappy but we lifted a gear in the 2nd and put together some nice passages of play.

In the end, the superior depth available to Liverpool showed and we just had too much quality for Tottenham on the night. The 2nd half in particular, when Sturridge & Origi turned it on the Spurs back 4 couldn't get near them and both were unlucky not to have their names on the scoresheet a few more times. We're lucky to have such quality forwards sitting on the bench ready to make an impact. Too strong, too fast, too skillful, and Tottenham didn't really have an equivalent threat going the other way - N'Koudou and Onomah are quick and can dribble making them awkward to defend against at times, but both are lacking polish and end product.

Aside from the penalty (which was the correct call on the back of some really dumb defending by the otherwise decent Lucas) I don't recall Spurs having too many clear chances and they were regularly untidy in possession as they transitioned through midfield which meant they could never really get a foothold in the game.

Probably an easier win than the scoreline suggests, it could've quite easily been 3 or 4-1. Still, we're through to the quarters, gave some valuable minutes and confidence to players who needed it (particularly Sturridge & Origi), and saw some strong performances from a handful of youth players, so I can't be too unhappy. Important that we finish the season with a bit of silverware, be it in this competition, the FA Cup or the league. The way they're playing at the moment there's no reason why this group can't achieve that.
