No Europe, So would love a good cup run.

Looks like Matip and Lovren may be our CB paring with Can in the middle and Origi up front pairing with either Ings or Sturridge.

Kids like Arnold, Randall and Grujic should feature.

I don't think Tomori or Da Silva will play as they played yesterday in the U23 match against Liverpool.

Really hoping to see Aina, RLC and Chalobah though.

That sucks. Want our back four from the weekend in cotton wool as an injury now is disastrous.

What was the U23 score?

Doesnt look to be any upsets tonight.

Only really WBA currently in ET with Northampton Town.

Everyone else did it relatively easily.

Watford lost 2-1 at home to Gillinghan

Nice story. James Thorne was with our academy, highly rated but got released for medical reasons.

Turns out his condition (heart) was misdiagnosed and he made his pro debut for Forest tonight.

WBA ended up getting knocked out too.

No such troubles for the Rafalution as we overcame mighty Cheltenham* :D

Given our cup pedigree and performances the last few seasons - this was actually a welcome result!

I wouldn't call a 14-13 win on penalties easy, in fact it sounds like one of the more difficult, nerve racking wins for a couple of seasons.
Apparently, Carlisle had a legitimate penalty in the first half turned down, which makes a pretty sh!tty day all the more sh!tty.

You crumbly Cumbrians! you choked at the wrong times! Do all the hard work, and then fluff it up at the end!

Didn't Northampton teach you a thing or two about holding one's nerve?

Fair effort to get that far at least.

Also, just looking at the shootout, unless I missed something, did Gillespie not take any penalties (the GK). Did I miss that, or is there a rule now claiming that there should only be 10 shooters (which is a weird rule)?

If I'm not mistaken, aren't two of them that missed the strikers?

The Cumbrian who missed the final penalty shot, was a young 19 year old making his first team debut. He was successful with his first shot, but missed his second. Hopefully he won't be too scared.
Not sure why our GK didn't take a shot, I believe the Derby GK did.

We also drew Chelsea at home. Shit draw really.

Funny, anin't it. In the Championship days, we only wanted to play Prem Clubs, now that we're in the Prem, we want something different. Ah well, at least its not Tottenham for once, lol.

Still, Chelsea, I don't mind that. Would like to see Kante, but it anin't happening, especially considering they play United and Liverpool, and we've got United and a CL game after this one.

Time for the reserves to show why they deserve to get in the first team. Don't forget that we could easily see Musa for this one!
