Aarts kicks goals, assists in goals and pressures the opposition. Not sure how that doesn't require talent. Rioli does none of those things.Better than aarts in everything but work ethic atm. Shows talent isn’t everything

So what did you think of Castagnas game then? He was much worse than Rioli imo.Don't let the 17 disposals and 5 tackles mistake you for thinking he played a good game. He was absolutely horrific. Missed tackles, operated at 52% efficiency, had a game high 9 turnovers and only 1 score involvement. Can almost guarantee any time he has space he will slow the ball down.

Aarts is a tough little campaigner not too dissimilar to his namesake kingyI would argue Rioli is a dumb footballer and decision maker with the ball.
Aarts is smarter and generally composed with the ball. Simply put, I feel good about him having the ball in his hands and Rioli not so much.
That falls under talent for mine.
I totally agree. A two-time premiership player for us should not be bagged like this. Rioli is a young guy with lots of ability, and is ideally suited to the MCG where the most important matches are played. I would be very disappointed to see him leave Richmond and give years of service at another club. The Rioli hate on here is embarrassing. Just like the Brandon Ellis hate use to be. Whether he turns into the player we thought he’d be or not he still played an important part in 2 flags, be grateful for that.
The sad thing is that was the most involved hes been in a long time, and he still sucked. An improvement from last game, but still not good.
I think he might get another game though, to see if he can build and improve on it again.
Terrible footballer?? Good lord Mate, he hasn't been at his best this year for sure, but he can play. To think otherwise I just don't understand. They were both sh*t and both deserve to be dropped. But if it was choice of the two then it is Rioli everyday of the week. Terrible footballer who is slightly out of form but is mostly being exposed for the player he is.
turnovers are significantly worse than clangers. He had 9 turnovers.
I ask whats the diff between turnovers and clangers?

Agree to disagree only option. You're entitled to your opinion, as I am mineRubbish. He one of the least damaging small forwards the competition has ever seen. He doesn't run and carry with the ball, he doesn't cut team open with his skills which are ******* rubbish most of the time and he doesn't hit the scoreboard 73 goals in 85 games is a genuinely terrible return given the amount of success this team has had over the past three and half years. Over 75% of the games he has played through his career have not been anywhere near AFL standard, another 15% have been average and 10% have been to a high standard.
actually, Ellis was wayyyyyyyyy better then Rioli FYI so the Ellis hate is not as obvious, but I've been saying for 2 years that Rioli is not up to spec and should remain in the twos. George has passed him and so has Arts and Higgins. Id rather play anyone else in Riolis position - time for new blood. The Rioli hate on here is embarrassing.
