Thought he has had a really good finals campaign up until last night. Strange to be so quite after being really good last week.

A player with his speed.....he was mtrs behind. cant crumb, fumbles, falls over.
Yes he did a small amount of something.....Even I could do something in a 11/2 of footy for f sake. played ok for 1 yr out of 4 .
If we going to challenge next year he has to go.

Yes he was average this year although he got better each week until last night. Which means he is now he is able to be pushed out if he plays at the level he played this year. Will be interesting how either he responds or if somebody comes along.

he did get better, ill give him that, but lasts night performance sealed it for me.
 
Not his best game disposal wise last night, but I thought his work off the ball to chase and harass the Cats defenders was right up there and helped put them under pressure which led to them being trapped in their defensive half in the second half. Sometimes I think too many get caught up in our small forwards needing to have lots of touches or an impact on the scoreboard to have played their role.

Rioli has been important in getting richmond to a grand final.

His last few weeks / months he improved and his contribution was vital

This. You can still enjoy wins and call out awful performances, which is exactly what Riolis was last night and capped off was a truly terrible year. Should be the first player on the chopping block with the amount of talent we have waiting in the wings.
 
Bloke will retire the luckiest 3 time premiership player of all time. Could have been dropped dozens of times over these 4 years but never is and when he is dropped an average VFL game or solid week on the track brings him straight back in.

Success covers all flaws though, so all is good, but damn this guy needs to understand how much of a ride he gets from the match committee. He simply must do more in future.
 
Not his greatest game last night and I thought there were moments where he should've gone hard but didn't. To be fair though he laid 4 tackles which is his job and he had a good patch of form through the rest of the finals series. I think it's difficult to expect every single one of the premiership 22 to have starring roles, there's always someone who doesn't quite play their best but still plays their role.

To be fair, he plays well generally in finals. The two goals he kicked against the saints were top quality, one especially. Rarely misses goals overall. For some reasons our small forwards were average last night. George was solid, but Bolton was very quiet until he went in the midfield (and turned the game).

It's pretty hard when the ball doesn't go forward for a small fwd

Lynch and jack looked average for a while too
