Test match cricket is different to Shield cricket though, there is a lot more riding on test matches with field and bowling changes.

I would rather see 82 quality test match overs then see test players rushing through to bowl 90/100 overs with Marnus bowling.
A lot of time is wasted by fielding, throwing to the w/k who then throws it to mid off/on who throws it to the bowler who returns it to the fielder to shine it who ….throw it to the fielders at the bowling end 90% of the time if no run out possibility and speed things up.

It’s not frequently I agree with you Lukey. But they put those pieces of wood at each end for a reason.

No issue starting with hard length or whatever you wish BUT when you see Bumrah bowling at the pegs and running through maybe an idea to try that. Drives me nuts our bowlers refuse to bowl at the stumps

The largest wastes of time are nothing to do with the fielding or batting sides.

Let’s look at how long we piss about with checking a four or six. And how long the DRS takes. And why the umpires actually allow runners with drinks to hold up play between overs. Etc, etc, etc

There are dozens of reasons why we can’t make 90 overs in Tests anywhere now. In my opinion the Administrators need to lead the charge here. Equip the Umpires to get rid of the drinks/gloves guys when it’s time to go. Killing the “runner” for an injured player was a backward step for me. It just encourages delay

it seriously feels like they've been sucked into using the bounce. funnily enough we said the indian bowlers would be but they're using it properly, bowling fuller and still hitting top of off
