I presume a father-son to Essendon. Is he a decent player Footyman? Do you suspect he will be worth a 3rd rounder next year. Cheers.

Also, is Ben Considine related to Ed?

Are any of these old enough to be rookies this year?

Daniher is Anthony's son - can go F/S to Essendon or Sydney. Very good leap and strong overhead. 190cm+, perhaps needs to work on leg speed but you'd assume both clubs will look at him closely for the 3rd round pick next year.

Not sure on Considine.

Warwick - no they are all born 89 and 90 which means not eligible for rookie this year.

Masten from WA was very stiff not to get AA imo. Looked better than Collard and Jetta, would say he is shaping as a top 10 next year.

WA will have some rippers - among them Chris Masten, James Venturini, Rhys Palmer and Luke Sampey, David Myers (if he can ever get fit) looks the goods also.

Steve Browne was also a bottom ager in Carnival.

Being a melbourne boy I would assume he would come to essendon...

Assuming Bird & Prismall don't go in the PSD, they'd be added to the list wouldn't they?

Prismall definitely won't go in the PSD and rookie draft as he is ineligible, so yes, he will be drafted next year. I am shocked we opted to pass on selection 83 instead of taking him, like we did with Raso a few years back, in the understanding that he would be drafted much earlier the year after.

Bird I think is old enough for the PSD and rookie drafts, so he will find a club.

yeh but his draft is in '08... he won the kevin sheehan medal this year for state under16s but got ran over by a car just a few weeks back an fractured his ankle in three places... but the AIS are looking after him, no running for 3months

Having not seen him play at all, could you tell me a bit about him.

I understand that it is incredibly early for this, but where do you think he would be rated amongst the 2008 crop?

I saw him once this year and I wasn't really watching him as I was looking at some other kids but my first impressions go along the lines of.

He has the ball on a string, he just kept racking up possessions particularly between half back and the wing

His kicking skills are exceptional.

He looks stiff in his movements and thus isn't likely to be the athlete that clubs want, if he was I would say in contention for the number one pick, but more realistically something like the first non athlete to get drafted so that would suggest about pick 10.

Looks as though he will be about the same size as Bryce Gibbs.

But lets be real 2008 is a mile away, clubs could list their top 20 now and I could almost guarantee by draft day half of those will have fallen down the rankings dramatically

he's quicker than most going around as he's had running training and all sorts over the past two years... he runs 14+ in the beep test and has a reasonable verticle leap... hes as strong as any1 and reads the play better than any1 iv seen...

although u did make a fine point in that 2008 is a long way away... anything could happen in the time between now and then

How can you guys start talking about next year's draft when we don't even know who is going to work out in this year's draft? Let's not get too carried away because it would not surprise me to find out next year that some of the so call big names in this year's superdraft could end up super duds.
