Who were your heroes this year?

For me Rockliff was GOLD. There when I needed him most and turned out to be a nice keeper in the forward line.

Selwood was worth every cent even though he missed the GF.

Re: Heroes of Supercoach - 2010

I don't think this is a bad one to call out individual efforts. Personally I'd have a few:

- The obvious: Goddard, Hodge and Swan.
- With those out of the way, I'd add Malceski.
- And on a "just the man when I needed him", Waite for being a price I could afford and consistently hitting the 100 mark or near enough to after I got him in.

Re: Heroes of Supercoach - 2010

Kudos to Chappy for me. A lot of people stayed away and were doubtful on the hammies, but he played 21 games this year, so I think a pat on the back for him and the Geelong medicos is in order.

Have to agree wholeheartedly with POTP on this one.

Was forever waiting for that TWANG! but it never eventuated.

Funny thing is, I think he was the most durabel of all the premium forwards with just the 1 game missed?

Only five premium forwards this year (using a 100 ppg average as a cut-off) - Chapman (21 games), Riewoldt (11), Franklin (17), Didak (20) and Harvey (!, and 22 games!). So he just misses out to Harvey on durability, but has him well covered on total points. Brown missed out with an average of 99.

Thanks Comp ;):thumbsu:

Seriously, every poster on the SuperCoach board needs to have a look at the DT board to know what is worthy of a new post/thread.

Make me a mod already!! :D

Some people want to do this:

MVP:
Best Defender:
Best Midfielder:
Best Ruckman:
Best Forward:
Coaches Award:
Best First Year Player:
Most Improved
Best Return from Injury:

Missed opportunity of the year:
Best trade of the year:
Worst trade of the year:

2011 Bolter:
The first five players you'll pick for 2011:
One thing you've learnt about SuperCoach:

Others just want to recognise one or two players that delivered the goods for their team this season in one or two short sentences. I'm glad a few posters see the value in that.:thumbsu:

Re: Heroes of Supercoach - 2010

My hero is Rusman. Member of yoursupercoach coach elites (YSCCE) and finished in the top 10 overall in back to back seasons. I think i might just let him pick my team next year :thumbsu:

Re: Heroes of Supercoach - 2010

someone on here told me to stay away from chappy in round 3 so i went riewoldt to rioli which wasnt too bad in the second half of the year but till about round 10 it was shocking

^^^ Wrong thread sivart.

Fair enough. I just don't think a topic warrants a new thread if it's already been covered in another. Sure it's a bit of fun, but what's the point? I just don't see the value in it. The only thing it does is clutter the SC board by doubling up on information, meaning that posters have to shift through an unecessary amount of crap.

Also, it's more of an opportunity for users to post irrelevant garbage (refer to post #11, relevant how?)

Don't hold bestin against the thread. He pollutes any thread he posts in.

You can listen to advice, but in the end you make your own decisions. I made bad decisions and they were my decisions. But you just come back next year and try again.
