I know I know 2011 has not finished yet, but already a few names being floated about as to moving on from current clubs

Cassidy is rumoured to have signed with Lauderdale
As well as Aaron Hall supposedly being chased by a few clubs

Any other rumours floating about?

Let the silly season begin :thumbsu:

just heard that Mark Harvey will be coaching Tigers in 2012 and Paul Dac has signed as playing assistant. Lauderdale board member told me, dead set cert he said as we spoke at the urinal at the Foreshore Tav:confused:

Seriously guys rumours are great but why are you all so sure that the HFC board members are wrong about pieces of paper called contracts yet none of you will state your so called sources on Cassidy going to Bombers. Winter even appraoched the HFC coach after the game to get him on board, interesting recruitment ploy. If I were a betting man T Willing would the the most likely player not to return, especially if he doesn't want to play TSL. I would have thought that now he has shaken off his persistent back problem he would at least play 1 more season. Hall not going anywhere and his Bro coming back from mainland to play with him at Tigerland I am informed, Horton also coming back from WA apparently. Maybe the "rabble " at the TCA may not be such a rabble:cool:

Trust me old boy Cass has indicated he will be signing with the Bombers. He is of the understanding that his contract expires this year. Source's..... Lauderdale Coaching Staff of which Cass will be a part of. Hope for Hobarts sake Hall does stay on, he is a very good player.

Bit of talk on the SFL board that Michael Thompson is off to Lauderdale as well?? Anyone else hear any more

Would be a new look forward line for the Bombers with Cassidy as well!

Nth Hobart

Heard that North are likely to lose 6-9 senior players due to retirement, drafted and no longer wanted.

Will be interesting who they will replace these players with

yeh saw winter speaking about this on the telly. fairly common knowledge. wouldnt be surprised if they signed a couple of other sfl boys.

Theze boys would be coming cheap though, the dale must have some cash to splash about especially to match Cass's pay at the Tiges.

Its a bit early in the silly season to say who will be going where, but it sounds like Lauderdale may have given up on developing players & decided to buy some success. That may be a signal for some of their good young players to move somewhere else to get a game.
I hope they dont bankrupt themselves. Maybe they are getting a bit of what Burnie get from Argyle st???

Be interesting to see what happens if they don't play finals next year. By the sound of it they're recruiting a few players from SFL clubs and also trying to poach blokes from other TSL clubs. Pre-season will be bloody packed to the rafters

They will play finals! Why don't all clubs get what burnie get? Who only them? Wouldn't argyle street want all clubs to do the same off the field?

interesting comment.. would have thought they have been one of the better clubs in developing juniors in the past couple of years?

only have to look at clarence.. benny setchell just comes back midyear, pick up alex glimore for half a season, not like they are bringing young guys through?

Well done Einstein. That's my point. They do have a great record of pushing the kids up. So why all of a sudden do they seem to have changed tack? They now appear to be 'in the market to buy success'. Or so it seems on BF.

While they do have a good record growing their youth, you can't win with youth only! I suggest this is to add a bit of experience to the side, who will be expecting to finish in the finals next year. Look at all sides that have played finals during the TSL's short history. They all have a good blend of youth & experience.

I think you'll find the Roos colts are in the GF this weekend. There must be some good young guys there, not to mention the blokes that will be dropped back from the seniors this weekend.

Looks like there is a bit of activity going on at the Dockers. Is Milverton retiring permanently or just having a year off, seems a real shame for a talented young player to have to give the game away at only about 20 years of age.
