Looks like his overall fitness is better. He could be a real bolter for us. Wouldn't expect him to play for another year or two as well, so he is progressing really well.
I think he's always been up there fitness-wise. Rob Kerr said when drafting Michael:

“We pre-selected Sam Michael because you don’t find too many 200cm players who can run 3km in 10 and half minutes.”
That he's managed to keep that fitness while obviously adding a fair bit of bulk is really impressive though. If he can keep improving his game then he could be a beast.

You have to wonder what effect bulking up would have on him 3km time. You'd think he'd still be very fit for someone his side but his time might slip.

Crisp came first in 2k time trial. Its good to see he isnt taking anything for granted and is working hard.

Physically or emotionally?

I'm not really the best judge, but it looked like a bit of both. He seemed to struggle a little with the 2km run (in the end he still beat Ash McGrath, though he did lag for a lot of the run) and his body language seemed a bit off too.

And Cal?

Oh & Grim, staying on the same theme, I hope that you will update your Avatar in the coming weeks, to show Mr Kerr's Movember results ???

Yeah, that's a good idea.
