If Leuenberger can play it will make things a lot easier. Still not sold on Armstrong, Kennedy and Harper, so may downgrade Maric to a cheaper option anyway to upgrade Armstrong to a premium and Harper or Kennedy to a better mid-pricer.

It's pretty standard but one or two differences. Cheers for any feedback :thumbsu:

I'm a little concerned over some Collingwood boys...

Could be nothing, but with the Pies playing a more direct brand of football it could mean less cheap touches for the mids - Swan included.

Not too sure how much it'll affect them, but I think Swan thrived from the Malthouse gameplan and maybe this Corridor approach could halt his output?

it didn't stop Ablett from being a ball magnet...some players just know how to be in the right place at the right time...

You realise Malthouse didnt just leave last year?

Have a look in the paper today - think it was the HS or The Age.
They showed a heat map of the 4 Collingwood NAB games and they used the corridor A LOT more than usual.

Take of it what you will being NAB at all, I'm just creating a discussion really.

Buckley didn't want a dramatic change last year, 2 pre-seasons of bringing his own gameplan.

is there an online link?
I play the DT game very much as if nothing much changes and go with the flow when it happens.
guessing who's going to breakout and fail isn't high on my radar - they will show themselves soon enough.

interesting article on DT Talk from last years winner if anyone is interested...

I have no issue sideways trading super premo's and intend to do it quite often this year at appropriate times...
for example there is no way i'll be heading into round 9 without Stevie J...
Cats have a run of Power, Suns, Giants, and then the bye in round 12... he is a renown for beating up on the lesser ranked teams and I expect he'll plunder the points in this little period.

But in saying that, strong clubs may rest a star or 2 when playing poor clubs heading towards their bye round so come finalstime, they will be nice and fit.

Don't say things like that.... It's bloody complicated enough as it is..... :p

FFS, they're not going to rest SJ before the MBR's, especially since he won't be starting his season until Rd2. They'll be wanting him to play maximum minutes during those rounds to get their % up!

cox - go with the gut.
I have Heppell...the bombers seem to be happy to chip move the ball around in the NAB's plenty of +6's on offer... which opens up the Stanton conundrum.
burger isn't likely for round one now...so you'll have to do something
Suban is a tough one, heavily backed for more midfield time but he just doesn't seem to play a DT friendly style and more negating than playing a link up give and get style.
having spare cash is not a big requirement for me... i'll try and spend every penny i can...with that said i will try to have a bail out for each position on my ground should they go pear shaped...
good luck!

Cheers for the feedback mate I still have some decisions to make I think I'll leave it till the last minute once i see the named teams.
You got any suggestions instead of suban?

Club shave been resting their stars for years. Geelong resting 1 or 2 stars against a very poor club doesn't mean they will lose. SMart clubs rest players at different times of the year.

The last time I'll be posting in this thread until after the NAB Cup Grand Final. What do you think of this team and I know SJ is out for R1 but want to have him in my side as I'm expecting big things from him. What do you think of my overall team and who should I go for in this player A v player B

Zorko v Rockliff
Cotchin v Deledio
Varcoe v Byrnes
SJ v Bartel

it's pretty slim pickings - but Armstrong if named, Tambling if named, or a back rookie and use the cash else where. Dylan Roberton 226K now at St Kilda is a mega roughie! played the last two for the saints with good game time.

I just had another look at Suban and his tackle count is quite useful in his last two...if only he could find some of the pill...
