Pav has never really had a dominant year but has shown some scary signs in the NAB .... Could be his year
Goodes.... I remember last year not many people picked him because he was too old yet continued to dominate games. Again not many have him in their team but I really can't see anyone more expensive that is worth picking over a cheaper, proven superstar.... ?? Would love to hear people's thoughts on this? Is there a reason in particular why everyone is over looking him?

I have considered haha
Personally I think he'll spend most of his time fwd and with no other decent tall fwd he will always get the best backmen or/and get double teames.
Really want to start 4 premo defenders but that means finding one more cheap fwd to go with Caff, Neade and Karnezis. Varcoe is the only option but not sold on him scoring any more than 65 avg.
Ahhh, the joys of the last week of preseason!!!

Yep, but i figure premo mids are better chances to pull monster scores than a fwd, so stocked up there. Hoping from some super scores to make up lost ground. Give something new a try this year
I think Karnezis can avg 80 though and get me an upgrade in 7 weeks or so. And i reckon Dusty is about to average 100. I have a feeling in my bones!

This is what's great about the new rules with all these trades. They should have done it right from the start.
There's less mortal fear involved with a starting team now and we don't have to sweat and stress in the early rounds as much as we have in the past.

How often has he kicked 13 goals in a game to score 200 DT points? Whats his highest score outside of that?
I just reckon you'll get consistently 130 + scores from gun mids than forwards
Thats not to say i won't end up with Buddy or SJ, they'll probably be 2 of the first upgrades i do
I've done the whole "balanced team" each year and its got me a top 1000 once. So i'm going a new angle. Whats the worst that can happen? I don't crack the top 2000? If you aint first, it doesn't matter in this game. Only thing on the line is a bit of ego in the leagues

If you think someone is going to consistently pump at 130's than youd pick them, only one player in the comp is priced to do so. So anyone else in that you think that will happen - youd pick them with that logic.
I mean i'm more likely to get at least 1 130+ score from my other mids besides Swan and Ablett. (Between Cotch, Danger/Mitchell, Selwood or Fyfe, i'd hope at least 1 of them can pump out a monster each week to back up the 2 big guns

My thoughts (changing all the time):
Upgrade moloney and lucas for a premo mid and bring in a rookie (k.mitchell etc).
Get another premo defender(somehow).
Rucks are weak? I went with cox forward and kreuz rucking because I couldn't find a 400k forward i liked (or that I thought would score as well) as kreuz in the ruck.
