Tasmania V Queensland at Hobart, March 22,23,24,25,26

Could be an interesting morning with 20 mil of rain falling in Hobart over night. The pitch is likely to be juicy first up and may give reason for “Queensland to bowl first should they win the toss. I’d be most surprised to see Tassie do the same. It will be interesting to see what Hopes does should they win the toss.

Tassie will go in with the same team they’ve had for the last two games and it will be hard graft for Queensland to take 20 wickets in a timely manner you would think as Tassie do bat a fair way down. But George is talking about the win.

Queensland bowling line up is still a little up for Grabs but with Harris leading the charge they will consider themselves a chance of winning a rare away shield final.

We had 11mils yesterday morning, then 20mils last night. My weather window looks ok at the moment. I cant see why it wouldnt be a good flat track. Its been fine all week. 26 & sunny on wednesday so the preparation wouldn't have been affected much at all.

Hindsight's wonderful, Butterworth, Hilf and Faulkner bowling now would have been interesting.

Can't really blame Tassie here. Get through the first session unscathed and the pitch should settle down and be good for batting. This would be seriously painful to watch, but sensible cricket (some of the Australian players could learn a lesson or two).

Really like the look of Silk.

Not the prettiest batsmen, but his temperament is outstanding.

Looks like a real grafter and scrapper, fantastic with the short ball, but seems to really value his wicket.

Bats nothing like him, but reminds me of Katich/Langer.

Much in the pitch, or is it your typical Shield final highway?

i.e. Will even Paine be able to make big runs?
Nipping around a bit, but it'll be a road by day 3

Good pitch.

Seaming around a fair bit at times, especially early, was zipping all over the place. Setteling down a bit.

Harris hasn't given them an inch, pretty good cricket all-round.

Wells will make a hundred.

That will be the giveaway.
