we're gonna be a much better all round team without Danger
I think we have the possibility to be. We'll see I guess whether we went the Danger crash-bang route because he was so dominant at it, or because we lacked the skill to do otherwise - certainly our additions this year suggest our game style will be different - and I also hope much better.

What's really irrelevant is something that hasn't happened yet and based purely on speculation.

Your basing opinion purely on "future" speculation which your entitled to but facts and figures do not support that..

Selwood averages .82 Brownlow votes per game, Dangerfield averages .66 per game, for Dangerfield to just equal Selwood's output to the same point in their career he needs to score 25 Brownlow votes in both of the years 2016 & 2017.
Danger is the third best player in the league IMO and considered as a top five player by most. Selwood, although a very good player, just isn't in his league anymore, especially if his recent injuries affect him.

Simple as that IMO.

How quick people forget....

In a season [2015] where it's been well documented Selwood carried injuries for the major part of the season he still managed 13 Brownlow votes, averaged 24.6 disposals @69.2% ED compared to Dangerfield's 26.8 disposals @ 67.3%.....he's still very much in Dangerfield league IMO...this is not some 32 yo veteran we are talking about it's a 27 yo still in his prime........bit early to be writing Joel off just yet. One season where his form wasn't quite up to his usual lofty standards solely down to carrying an injury for most of the season that clearly impeded his form does not mean he won't get back to his absolute best going forward.

When do we get the cheerleaders back?? We have them in T20 and nbl. I say let's bring them back.

Allstar Cheerleading is actually the fastest growing team sport in Australia, the cheerleading we see at footy games is not the same thing! Real cheerleaders hate being tarred with that brush!

Never want to see at footy games "ever" again! By the way All star is awsome to watch.

But hell to judge!

It makes me curious how Danger is gonna go at Geelong. Not performance wise, but just with things like him leaving his defensive assignments and things like that. Remember the Hawks game during the year when he left his assignment multiple times in a row and it lead to the Hawks waltzing the ball out of the centre for easy goals. Then Campo pulled him and lost it at him and the media spun it as a "Danger/Campo" feud. So what is Chris Scott gonna do if Danger goes back to that sort of thing again? And is the media gonna ignore it if Scott does lose his cool during a game?

Now that's he's playing for a Vic side, I'd imagine they will only fap over Danger even more. Still there are certain realities that Geelong will have to face.
For starters I will be interested to see how Geelong handle opposition sides repeatedly crunching Danger at every opportunity. I was always very critical that our players never did enough to support him. It's going to be amusing watching Geelong/Hawks games given how underhanded Clarkson's team is.

They didn't do much to support Selwood last year why would it change this year with Dangerfield.
But it going to be fun watching Scotts reactions thru out the year.

Well AFC fans we have less than a week before the team take to the field, and I have a feeling it's going to be an exciting one and one that will produce some talent that will make it a little easier when we are flooded with pictures, stories, interviews etc of that freckly faced kid from Moggs Swamp!
One that seems to be exciting everyone at AFC is young Milera - and as I think we may be saying his name quite a bit this year heres is pronunciation 101;

Wayne Milera -ok please do not go all Dennis Commeti and say Mil -ear - a it is Miller-a

you're welcome.
