Now that's he's playing for a Vic side, I'd imagine they will only fap over Danger even more. Still there are certain realities that Geelong will have to face.
For starters I will be interested to see how Geelong handle opposition sides repeatedly crunching Danger at every opportunity. I was always very critical that our players never did enough to support him. It's going to be amusing watching Geelong/Hawks games given how underhanded Clarkson's team is.

Lets be honest here, he is Victorian. His free kick count will rise being at Geelong.

Wish this was not said, did not work well for Petrenko.

Would much prefer he become the first Wayne Milera than the "next" Andrew Mcleod.

Not a big fan of suggesting player X is the next player Y.

We seem to do this with every indigenous player we get. It would be nice if just once, the club would let one of these guys develop, free from unnecessary comparisons to past champions.

I had a quick reread of the article and I get the feeling it was the journo who posed the question and Thommo agreeing as opposed to Thommo stating without any prompts that he is the next McLeod.

don't the guys get media training?

should be able to play straight bats to those, especially someone who's been around so long like Thommo. He's teed up a pretty ridiculous headline for the lazy journalist that you probably want to protect your zero gamers from.

I've been alternating between Mil- air-a and miller-a for a while but have stuck with Miller-a now

*Not racist at all, don't take it there because its 100% not*

Miller-a sounds more consistent with indigenous language/pronunciation than Mil-air-a, which makes sense cause the Lad has an indigenous background.

I'm guessing with VB staying in the leadership group they expect him to be a regular in the 22. Maybe he will return to his best????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

It wouldn't be a bad idea having the SANFL skipper in the leadership group, especially given even this close we have no obvious candidate.

Jono Beech perhaps ??

Notice that Pyke has fingered Menzel by saying he needs to improve his fitness - at least for mid opportunities. He has struggled with training loads.
Will most likely need more than one preseason in a disciplined environment with no wriggle room to get him absolutely cherry-ripe. That says more about where he's come from and what standards (or lack thereof) were considered acceptable there than the player himself tbh. Bags of talent and potential so if the Crows have the development programs in place to unlock them and a little patience you'll have scored a very good player.

Good luck for the upcoming season.

Agree, I actually got the impression he was kind of hesitant to answer it, he really only replied with two lines. Seeing what happened to Petrenko might be influencing that.
