I had a quick reread of the article and I get the feeling it was the journo who posed the question and Thommo agreeing as opposed to Thommo stating without any prompts that he is the next McLeod.
i haven't read it but if that's the jist of it, our media really does suck

Let's not re write history just because danger has left

He is a very good player .... Once played on Fyfe head to head and almost broke even , less than 5 guys in the league can do that

Also lifted big time in last quarters in 2 of our biggest games in the last 5 years for our club

2102 prelim v Hawks and 2015 semi vs Bulldogs - both times had more than 10 possessions in the last quarter and sparked us into winning positions

We may emerge better without him , but that will not happen overnight ..... Eg whatever we do in first 6 rounds this year it would have been at least as good with danger in the side

Don't recall seeing many opinions that say otherwise. Most who look to the positives think we might have better spread across the ground, and a game plan that doesn't involve sitting back and waiting for Danger to kick to (hopefully) them.

Personally don't think we'll be better because Danger left, I think we'll be better despite him having left.

*In a game we still lost....

Re the whole pronunciation thing, I know some members of the family from which Terry and Tim (?-that's the one we had wasn't it) come from, they don't seem to care how its pronounced, I used to say miller-uh and I have had others say mill-ear-uh while I was standing there and never a correction was offerred. Pretty easy going ppl i reckon.

ADELAIDE coach Don Pyke says the Crows will field a younger side in their second NAB Challenge match against Fremantle next weekend if his senior players manage decent game time against West Coast on Sunday.

The Crows named most of their best players for the clash with the Eagles, including skipper Taylor Walker and fellow forward Eddie Betts.

Pyke said that if all went to plan on Sunday, the club's less experienced players would get a chance to strut their stuff against the Dockers before he'd try to settle a best 22 in the final game.

But while he insisted he'd have an eye focused on round one through the NAB Challenge, Pyke said he wanted his players to adopt winning habits.

Makes sense I guess. Take more of the kids over to WA, we'll probably leave a few guys like Thommo and Jacobs at home and then use the Gold Coast game as the final dress rehearsal.
