For those who haven't heard, West Coast is set to conduct a member vote to return the wings full-time in 2016. If the vote gets up, they're considering using wings design jumpers for training purposes for 2015.

I made this a long time ago. It symbolizes the beach patrols uniform.

Beautiful. Once they get properly established and don't feel the need to publicise their logo they should use this for sure.

Port can't wear a black and white prison bar

Why not a black with teal stripes?

There are a couple of schools of thought on this.

a) It doesn't look as good. The black and white contrast really makes it. Not to mention, the white number panel is as much a part of the design as the front, and that wouldn't work well in teal.
b) The prison bars are sacrosanct and bastardising them isn't a good idea.

If we'd continued to run that Planet Teal guernsey design comp that we ran for a few years culminating in the adoption of one of them as our home guernsey, i'd love to have seen some teal prison bars in action, just to see how they look.

What about black and very (very) light silver prison bars? Perhaps some teal on the collar?

I really hope this gets up!

On the other hand, is the clubs dumb enough to rig the votes?

After drawing this out for so long, you'd hope that they'll actually listen to the members. This decision has gone on for so long, that if they didnt, they will lose a considerable number of their fan base

Too right. I'll be jumping ship if this vote doesn't go through. Might have to start a chart so I can easily decide my fall to club. ^_^

That's the whole point of this poll. The people that would jump because of a jumper are the same people that would like the tri-panel - fair-weather supporters.

A few clash jumper ideas:
o6d552.jpg

Adelaide white clash
Brisbane gold clash
Carlton clash - more traditional-looking (IMO) with heritage monogram
Gold Coast clash
Melbourne - red against blue teams, blue against black teams.
Richmond - fauxback of their original jumper (thanks Mero for the image of that one)
St Kilda
WCE Tri-panel converted into a clash
WCE white wings

Closest to a cartoon character or clown-vomit is the Paddle-Pop lion is still there, but in a much-less in-your-face way.
