Reckon we'll finish second last, Gold Coast or Brisbane to jump us (they play eachother, so at least one of them gets a win) on percentage if not points - probably Gold Coast, reckon they'll beat Brisbane and Essendon.

Trades:
- Henderson to Geelong for pick 10
- Yarran to Adelaide for pick 12 (and maybe a swap of later picks in their favour)
- Pick 12 and our third (39) on to Essendon for Carlisle and their second (22)
- Pick 21 to Geelong for Josh Walker and their third (46)
- Pick 20 (our second) and Watson to Brisbane for Aish and their third (38)

INS:
Pick 2 - Weitering
Pick 10 - Curnow
F/S (pick 38, 46, 57) - Rice + SOSOS
Trade - Carlisle
Trade - Aish
Trade - Walker
Free Agent - James Kelly
Rookie - Korchek

OUTS:
Henderson (trade)
Yarran (trade)
Watson (trade)
Judd (retired)
Walker (retired)
Carazzo (retired)
Ellard (delisted)
Warnock (delisted)
Russell (delisted)

That would be a top off-season.

1000 monkeys could have typed for 1000 years and not summed up Kreuzer better than Barker...unconditional...just beautiful.

Nail. Head. Why I love the Tractor so much.

I probably did a disservice to your post earlier when I used it for a punchline.

I really should have replied 'Now for EVERY player on the list to be unconditional'.

If that transpires, I'll build a shrine in SOSs honour

That would be a top off-season.

Trying to pick it apart, but it all seems reasonable as far as give and take goes. Might have a little trouble getting pick 12 out of Adelaide, but hopefully we could get it done. They'll likely get a compo pick for Dangerfield right after it, so having two picks there might make them more amenable to trading one.

Would love to see us throw James Kelly a lifeline if Geelong move him on. Reckon he'd be a very handy addition to our leadership group while we're transitioning into a younger playing list.

Am I missing anything?

Carlisle's 6/12 month ban isn't a deterrent for mine. He's only 23 and we're not going to shoot up the ladder in a hurry.

Also, bombers are horrible traders so we'd need to give a little to get him.

I think the picks you have us getting for Yaz and Hendo are the best possible outcome and very optimistic but not out of the realms of possibility.

Realistically, I would think they would be a few picks lower in value but it all depends on what the clubs have to trade and how much they want them.

I think 10 for Hendo and 15/16 for Yaz in a "weak"draft is fair.

Both geelong and west coast/freo would love Hendo and yaz

Sorry but you're both wrong

Mick said Aish hadn't proved a thing yet, which is true

Hendo and Yarran however everyone knows can play its just that right now for obvious reasons they're not performing

And to an earlier post who said Aish is worth around pick 15?... If that's the case then Yarran is worth pick 5!!
Agree Yarran is worth pick 5 but I am not sure Essendon, DEES or Saints will give it to us.

consider yarran / henderson's form, imagine them in another side and then ask yourself what you'd give to get them. already called that there would be plenty of offers of second rounders from other parts of bigfooty in trade hypotheticals.

If they are only worth a second round pick in a shallow draft we must hold onto them.

i really have no idea of what they are worth, but 1st round picks for players clearly not at the peak of their form is pretty optimistic.
having a look at previous years for comparison - joel patfull / allen christensen for pick 21
levi greenwood pick 25

Essendon can go an flower themselves if they think we'll give them pick 12 for Carlisle.

Not going to give up Yarran for pick 12, then give it to Essendon for a plYer we might not see in a Carlton jumper til 2017.

As someone else said, I think 10 and 12 for Yaz and Henderson is optimistic at the moment. Would also be pretty happy with Aish for pick 20. Watson is basically meaningless in trade value terms.

Not sure about Yaz, but if Geelong want Hendo they can part with their first rounder.

Agree Hendo is definitely worth the Cats pick 10 to 12 and a bit. One of their fringe young ones would be nice too.
Hendo would be a very valuable asset at their stage of development and if we hold 1st pick or secondthe PSD well they have very little choice but to comply.
Ciao

I suspect it will be Hendo and pick 22 (our 2nd) for Geelongs first likely to be about pick 10..
I am not sure on Yarrans value, i always though it was a top 10 picks but the question was asked on twitter who is worth more Yarran or Stevie Motlop and it was unanimous that Motlop had more value and i would think Motlop is a 15-20 pick so perhaps a high 2nd round pick is fair value... still if that was all that was on offer i would rather hold onto him, worst case is we would get the same level compo the following year when he walked as a free agent.
