So what pick are we talking here? I'd be furious if we surrender our 2nd round pick for him, even if he wasn't a druggie.

His best is handy but lacks consistency. I just don't see him re-inventing himself as a 40 goal/year forward and as a defender we already have Jamison & Rowe + White, Giles, Jaksch and Fields (and possibly Weitering). Let's not let one season leaking goals overstate our need for a mature age defender. Scoring power and midfield class are bigger problems.

Pick 2 in the PSD.

He is CHB. He's better than Rowe and Jamo only has a couple of years left, max. By the time he's gone, Giles, Jaksch and co will be ready to move on up.

If we did get Carlisle, I could definitely see Jaksch going forward permanently and if we did get Weitering, maybe we trial him forward also. Think I read somewhere he dominates at both ends?

Jaksch to me looks like a far more natural forward. He might be a good 1 on 1 defender, but he looks ordinary with the ball.

When he's in the forward line he can win the ball and kick a goal instead of finding a target :D

We should have money in the cap with Warnock, Judd, Yarran and Henderson going. Point is when your a bottom side rebuilding you should have money in the cap. Our player cap expenditure needs to better reflect our position. Id be surprised if we go after Carlisle, especially at 700k

Is Menzel on the way out? Dogs would be one of many clubs interested. I'd say we'll be reluctant to let go of any of our starters, but something like Hrovat and our second round pick could be offered. Not sure on Menzel's value at all though.

Also re Kreuzer, dogs definite interest. Look for us to offer upwards of 500K on a 4 year deal. Not sure whether thats enough to get you band 1 compo (Possible pick 2 or 3).

Wouldn't Freo have a look at Henderson? Mcfarlin and Pav both at the end.

Re Carlisle, do not want ant of the taint of the EFC doping program near the CFC. They can all **** off.

If SOS took pick 3 for Kreuzer, would he dangle it at GWS for Patton? Could we work Treolar into the deal with Hendo chucked in?

Just spit balling here.

Tutt on 2 year deal, not 3 years :thumbsu:

Was an impressive game and hope is there that he can be more than just a list clogger. Biggest strengths are his endurance and speed, something we're lacking right now...build on disposal and tackling efficiencies.

Not a bad ball there. Hendo for Patton and #3 for Trealor.
Get to work on a ruck replacement if you can?

So, Jared Rivers is done.

Does that provide extra incentive for Geelong to pony up in the Henderson trade? If reports that Carlisle to WB have any truth to them, then our suitors for Hendo are probably limited to Geelong and GWS.

Hopefully our propaganda team start pumping out some rumours about "extensive talks with GWS", give Geelong a bit of a scare that they might miss out.
We wont be taking Henderson.

Menzel signed a contract last year. Not on the table but, apparently, we're having a fire sale.:( Your second round pick seems too low, though I do like Hrovat. Not sure too many fans here would even be happy with a 7 pick upgrade from 20 --> 13 if we exchanged picks.

I would guess Kreuzer would be on $450K per year currently, so that seems a little low were he to switch clubs.

I posted this in another regarding the Dogs Cap.

What happens in the next 3 years will test them regarding their kids but as of RIGHT NOW they will have the Cap space to afford Matty on a big deal.
So we should target Stringer and Bonts as soon as they are out of contract with a big $ offer.

Hrovat was a pick 21 in 2012, so add that to our second rounder (30ish) and you've got a pretty decent package to work with. H's no slouch either. Rated by the vast majority of our supporters as a good player, with exceptional leadership abilities but we've just got too many coming through that are similar, with Honeychurch, Dale, Webb, Mclean etc. He's at his highest point value wise right now. Would fit well alongside your big bulls in Bell and Cripps, with his tidy disposal, pace and smarts around the ground. Massive upgrade on Tutt, Buckley, Curnow and a few of your other 16-26 ranked players.

Kreuzer has been offered close to 550k by the dogs on a 4 year contract, so I'd assume we're banking on the fact he'd be keen to jump on the bandwagon just as it starts to kick off with our young fella's.

I think it would. I cant imagine frawley being on much more than that
