To acquire Treloar in a trade what would we have to give up. Walker and Murphy perhaps?

I don't wanna see the club give away any more first round picks if anything we need to get more first round picks

this suggestion may see you receive some robust commentary

Murphy won't be going anywhere. He's the captain and we won't be going down that avenue. Walker might get us a 2nd round pick at best.

The way I see this season going, we will finish in the bottom 4 (and that's nothing to do with our first round loss. Mentioned we would finish low for a while now)

We definitely need 2 if not 3 early draft picks this year. The only way I see it happening is if Kruezer comes good and dominates then goes to free agency or we make a tough call and send Yarran off 1 year early before he becomes a free agent come the end of next year. Both arent favourable but in the long run could put the club in a better position.

Does anyone remember what trades were on the table for both Bell and Cas over the past 2 years? I think both from the Doggies?

reckon we would have got Jones and Tutt.....

It saddens me when i look at the players that didnt play on Thursday night and the only ones that excite me are two blokes who have only been in the country for 3 years and Buckley.

Who Sheehan & Byrne? Only been here less than 18 months.

Boekhorst, Whiley and Viojo-Rainbow? Graham, Holman and even Johnson have upside.

Kreuzer, Walker and Thomas not exciting?

Forgive me for not adding Boekhorst Whiley and Rainbow to that list. i spent half an hour over at TC and proceeded to fall into a very negative thought pattern.

As for Kruezer Walker and Daisy. The injuries are the most concerning part. Are we ever going to see them at their best again?

I don't come here often after a loss, as some of the dribble is excruciating................and it's even worst elsewhere.

The premiership is out of reach for at least 14 clubs this year and unfortunately we're one of them.

I think we've done very well in the off-season and some of that work will take a little time to materialize.............regardless of which coach we have.

What we did this off season is all about filling a void so that we aren't a basket case in a3 or so years time. We've been heading towards being a basketcase since around 2010. That's what happens when you have a history of drafting poorly and you have a list with no youngsters coming through who can play for years and years, we created a void, now we are trying to fill it with guys like Docherty, Tutt, Jaksch, Jones, Whiley, Dick and Everitt. Having them is better than having no one.

I was not happy on thursday and I wondered where our list was at

then I woke up the next day and realised that the odds are one team will lose each match.... and we lost the last one... just like port and north eventually did.

I struggle to see how Jaksch and Doc can be grouped with Tutt, Jones and Dick.

Agree, Doc has already shown enough to firmly suggest he'll be a genuine quality player for us for years to come. Haven't seen enough of Jaksch but besides what I've heard on here, even what I saw on Thursday night was very promising for a young KPP.

I cant understand the thinking that we only need mids and then every draft, draft flankers, all the while we havent had a decent CHF since Whitnall wasnt fat. Everyone keeps saying Casboult can be our CHF, but he cant kick and it will be a cold day in hell before he holds a premiership cup.

Hate saying this, love Humphrey, met him.a few times, lovely fella, but I wish we let him go to GWS 2 years ago and cash in the compo pick (believe they offered him 750 K a season)

No one could possibly foresee his chronic injury issues since, so can't blame the club for re-signing in, but what might have been.

True. We have not had a genuine full forward since Fev.

Still do not understand why we did not draft McKenzie last year. He had potential for a low pick.

Jones seems a good kick but his pressure and presence is almost zero until he ghosts in to take a mark.

Hendo seems better down back and Rowe has some potential as a full forward so there are options.

Will be interesting to see how we restructure this week.

If we can snag an away win Friday things will look a lot better

Maximum of Henderson + one of Jones, Casboult and Watson in the forward line.

It's going to be Casboult, because at least he can be a back-up ruck.

When Betts and Garlett were playing well, they were by far the most dangerous small forward combo in the league and masked a lot of deficiencies when the ball came to ground in the forward line. Right now, the ball goes in and comes straight back out again. Geelong had the same problem yesterday with Fatty Hawkins and Mitch Clark, and our four big forwards are not even close to them in terms of quality.

They are part of an age group in which we have very few capable AFL players coming through, guys 18-24.

Scotland has gone, Judd is going, Carrazzo will be gone. Murphy will be 30 in a few years. We still rely on Judd, Murphy and Gibbs to do most of the work through our midfield. Simpson in his 30s, Walker nearing 30.

Cripps and Graham are the only young midfielders we've had on our list since we drafted Gibbs in 2006 that have shown anything and they are yet to prove and cement themselves into our side. Our void is the same for key position talls with Henderson being the last decent tall we picked.

We need to fill the void before we start chasing high quality kids or things are going to get pretty ugly soon for us. Good chance we'll have some good draft picks over the coming seasons, you want to be bringing those kids into a decent environment and we don't want to plummet right to the bottom either.

I guess that's where we disagree, and there's no issue with that. IMO Jaksch & Docherty are high quality kids and not just void fillers - hence why I struggle to group them with delisted free agents (Dick), PSD picks (Tutt) and Jones.
