Assuming we'll finish with pick 1-3... would we consider downgrading for two later first round picks?

Maybe if GWS with say pick 10... we could offer pick 1-3 for pick 10 and a player?

Depending on the depth of this years crop, would certainly look at it.

With F.A leading the way, what sort of currency is First pick in the PSD, assuming a player walks???

If it was me, I'd go the GWS route.

Keep everyone who's 27+, to ensure you don't fall off the cliff and to give good habits to the draftees. Even pick up some leadership late in the draft or throw very cheap trades.

Cut deep in the players between 22 and 27. You want to aim for ten picks in the top 35 in the next three years.

Give your attention to whatever youth you have, maven when you're getting spanked. Aim for 2018.

Good thing for us is the psd. As it currently stands, us, Brisbane and the sun's are rock bottom. Aish possibly wanting out makes us the likely destination and therefore means a second round pick is as good as it gets for Brisbane.

Depending in where Adelaide finish, I think trading Gibbs to them for Lever instead of pick 14 could be a win for us. No way they would want to let him go, but could see Gibbs coming home as the final piece to a premiership.

It's only people on BigFooty who think players are going to get to them through the PSD. It doesn't happen. Players name where they want to go and a deal happens. Your challenge will be to get A homesick Aish to choose to not come home.

Personally, I think Aish will come to one of the Adelaide clubs and Pickering is just trying to drive his price up, but time will tell.

Lever? No chance we would trade him, and not for Gibbs.

We'd entertain the idea of Gibbs coming home, but at his contract it seems unlikely. Should have happened last year. Perhaps a Lyons and Kerridge kind of deal, though Kerridge is very highly regarded in Adelaide.

Yeah we're not trading Gibbs for Kerridge and/or Lyons...

The threat of it will save us a a few draft spots in the trade.

Like his value (10-20) down to 17-24 kind of saving. It wont get us him for free though. Brisbane would take the lower offer and we wouldnt want to be idiots about it and screw them over.

Why wouldn't we ??

It's every man for himself these days !!

Just tell Aish and Pickers we'll dish out an extra 200k over the length of his contract if he walks to the psd, sounds like there's no love lost between him and the club. Plus Brisbane already hate us for the Doc and Fev deals, not to mention Murphy father-son.

If we got the first pick in the draft, another top 20 with our second pick (19ish), plus bargains with Rice and SOSOS as well as Aish for nothing......well, that would be good.

Nooooooooooo, no more 2 for 1 deals or slipping down draft order.

If this Weitering kid becomes the likely no.1 pick, we finally get a gun KP player.

It reads as if the entire thing has just been made up by the 'journo'.
Doesn't mean there's isn't any truth in the message hes trying to get across.
I heard a similar story coming out of the club a while ago now, pretty much confirms my already ingrained opinion on how the club is being run.
