Waters is cooked. When he eventually plays they'll manage him in cotton wool. Would have to have a nice succession of games before considering again.

I know the defence is looking pretty doom and gloom at the moment, but there are some exceptional talents for sub 200k provided they get a crack
Lever, ZJones, Durdin, Colquhoun, WhiteX etc.
All have a pretty tough job to break into there respective 22, got a good feeling about Lever, and then of course there's the McKenzie, Goddard, Dick sort that are cheaper and have a decent chance to be playing round 1.

Are we putting a line through Birchall in our rnd 1 sides n9w?

Can anyone link me to any articles?
I've only seen on this thread that he hasn't been training for the last 10 days. Nothing solid as of yet?

Just going to throw this out there...

Ben Jacobs priced around 250K from memory. Would be the favourite to take the position left by Levi Greenwood with Dumont being 2nd in the running for it. This position is an inside midfield role. Jacobs absolutely dominated the VFL playing this position last season (consistently 35d, 1 goal, 7+ tackle and mark BOG games), but couldn't quite put it all together in the AFL (few sub affected games) . Apparently a lot more vocal this pre-season and looking/feeling like he finally belongs (his own words in an interview).

To increase the potential of being a good pick, he was given a 1 year contract at the end of last season. Basically has to make it this season or he's done.

You'd be crazy to not have him on your watch list and monitor his pre-season at the very least considering how shocking the backline looks this season.

Any thoughts on Jamie MacMillan. I know he was injured last year but I heard he was travelling ok at the moment. Is he best 22?

If he's fit he's definitely best 22, but can't see him ever averaging more than 75-80 at best. Jacobs is a much more natural ball winner

Thanks. At D5 at the moment 75-80 sounds pretty goodo_O

Ugh. Birchall and Hibberd have been the two rocks in my defense, have to rethink it now.

Anyone hearing this Scharenberg news? Supposedly into full contact training and a slight possibility to play nab cup? Dont shoot the messenger a mate just text me about it.. havent heard anything!

Edit: I just saw the "besides KK" bit, sorry about that :drunk::drunk:
