With the many retirements and delistings as well as the 2 Jake's requesting trades, there needed to be a thread dedicated to staying abreast of the numbers situation.

As it stands, there are 8 vacancies.

Will there be guernsey number elevations and which draftees get what numbers?

Leave Smack in the 44. Leave the Oraz in the 46. Laverde should absolutely keep Caracella's 33. I don't like players changing numbers. Let them make it their own. Like Justin Madden and Shaun Rehn.

I like Smack in 44. It's a ruckman's number and as soon as Bellchambers moved from it he became injury-proned. Cursed because he moved. Raz in 8 works really well for me too.

#3 is difficult for me. I would have preferred Z Merrett to keep 27 another year and then let him take it. Heppell I'd like but I want him to get the 159 games in 21 to be the record holder of that number.

That's my point. They made the number their own. I mean I don't like the idea of a number being given to the first draft pick, and thus changing every year.
