News 2017 Finals ticketing info and questions

I've never been on level 2 or 3 at the MCG. Either 1 or 4.

I had level 2, above the Geelong cheer squad in the 2011 gf - it was in front of the corporate area with a lot of drunk Collingwoid "fans".

They were happy until the last quarter and then left pretty quick when their team for the day was losing

There are "general" areas that are each supporters zones. We are M33- Ponsford. So anyone with M1, etc will probably be in an area more dominated by Tigers fans.

I chose the 'Geelong allocation' when buying tix (with my Geelong memberships) and got M6, which appears to be right next to the Richmond cheer squad

Always gotta go Level 1 from my POV. Love being close to the action, even if it is only "half" of the game, as I'm behind the goals.

Why don't you sit on the wing? It's the best vantage point, even on level 1 it's fine.

Usually have issues with the website but it was seamless today.

I just feel lucky to get tickets really. According to sen the 'tiger army' have jumped on something called the tiger train and they'll likely have 85-90,000 fans there.

I did mine on my phone and after selecting 'Geelong allocation' it gave me the option of selection the stand and then the seat category.

Weird how it was different for everyone

No, I would say between Wednesday and Friday next week is when standing will be released...the only time I have ever been checked for appropriate standing tix was the PF in 2007.

You could always just buy a "allocated seat" ticket and then chance your luck of standing.

Glad you got a seat, such a stupid system. I did the same thing as you, when I realised the textbox didn't mention barcode numbers, but it was a system like the GF to get full bays of white/blue or yellow and black, which tbh needed to be two buttons instead of the text box. Stupid stupid stupid. At least on TV there will be clear bays of blue and white, or yellow and black. In that way, the cats and tigers compliment well in opposite colours.
