I kind of don't mind that the Crers and their old mate Rory have dominated the SA headlines and general talk in the state for the past week and a half whilst Ports first finals campaign since 2014 has flown under the radar a little bit. At my school you can barely cross the hallway without overhearing some campaigner mentioning the Crers game and what not. I'd be quite happy with Port quietly and comfortably disposing of West Coast whilst the SA media laps up whatever stories come out of the Crers v GWS game, win or loss. A lot of the pressure on Port is coming from our own supporters, who question our reliability and are still not fully convinced that we've transcended from disappointing performances of 2015-16, yet the majority of the Crers pressure is external, from the SA media who think that this year could be their year. Would make it all the sweeter if we knocked them out in straight sets! But alas, just focus on the West Coast game first. I have full confidence that we have the ability to dispose of them quite comfortably, just need to turn up.

My favourite part is when they completely disregard our win against the Bulldogs only to use their two narrow wins against them as evidence of their superiority.

After living in Perth for 20 years that's the norm for 90% of their fans from my experience. I'm glad I'm back living in Adelaide for the build up to this final rather then over in Perth dealing with that crap.

Reading their board this week I have discovered that the majority of them believe they are dead set certainties to win this weekend, they have an irrational hatred of Chad Wingard, and also some weird superiority complex over the actual city of Adelaide that keeps coming out for no apparent reason.
probably just a symptom of their inferiority complex, much like the fruchotopian/kickavic mentality is a symptom of the same thing over here

They are a special breed, no doubt of that. Their right up there in my hated teams just behind the Crows after living in Perth for over 20 years. The way they carry on is laughable, I won't even attempt to write how many moronic statements I've heard from West Coast fans in that period. I've heard some pearlers this week from mates back there again. Will be sweet as hell if we wipe the smugness off them on Saturday night.
So, will we give Mitchell, Priddus et al a guard of honour off the ground after we flog 'em ?
