like that fistful of salt bit......Hogan caught up with Fyfe cause he's got a problem in how to spend his money wisely...he wants big toys too. Truthfully though is good seeing the guys spending leisure time catching up.

I know everyone has their heart on Jesse being at Freo but Im confident we can recruit and develop...but we need to select them in the first place. Brander, Ballenden, Allen, Miller, Dixon (bit of Hogan about him), Hayes, and others.

I'd still prefer pick 5 to be a midfielder....I'm sure we can get a quality forward line functioning with Tabs,McCarthy plus Cox & Fyfe as marking targets mixed in with Bennell,Walters and Matera.

So has Hogan or his manger said he is staying? I can’t find quotes from either.

All I can find is just he said she said - nothing unexpected or offical. Couple of examples below.
If anything, the fact that Steve Rosich won’t comment is a positive. If Hogan had actually told us he wasn’t interested in coming to Freo, why wouldn’t Rosich say it?

TripleM: “Jesse Hogan has reassured the Demons he will not leave the club in this year's trade period, according to Triple M's Jay Clark.”
The West: “Hogan’s manager Jason Dover said yesterday he expected the 22-year-old to remain at Melbourne, while Fremantle chief executive Steve Rosich said the club would not comment on trade speculation.”

I don't think he will come but these articles we are talking about use wording like this from the AFL site right now.

Heading cv

Jessie meets with Fyfe but staying with Dee's

In content

It is understood Hogan has told the Demons he does not wish to be traded just 12 months after signing a new contract that takes him through to the end of 2019.

Understood hey. Building an article around that

Jason Dover (his manager) said today that he has spoken with Jesse and expects he will be playing for Melbourne in 2018.

Depends how much Jesse improves between now and then. I think we’re more likely to lose him to a Vic club than you guys then anyway.

He won't go to another Vic club if he leaves Melb he will land in our open arms at the end of next year for a player and future first before his contract expires.

Currency is on hold at the moment until next year plays out, then Melbourne should be worried as his value is inflated at present.

We will be concentrating on building our list the next two drafts 2017 and 2018, the Fyfe meeting is seed sowing, forward planning and good business.

He is the final piece in the puzzle that will have the final pieces put together at the end of next year - our young list will evolve and a player from Vic on our list will be part of the deal.

Private untapped conversation:
Fyfey: "Jesse I"ll kick in a 100k of my own on top if you come".
Jesse: "You know I love Freo"
Fyfey: "All the more reason to accept it and come now"
Jesse: "You know I love Freo"
Fyfey: "Weekly ride in the chopper, fishing every fortnight in my boat -we even get the University to throw in an Honoury Doctorate"
Jesse: "You know I love Freo"
Fyfey: "Fish and Chips, our own brewery, this place is the best"
Jesse: "You know I love Freo"
Fyfey: " Now we have the best in fitness facilities, we are all developing toward 100 minutes of hard running fitness"
Jesse: "You know I love Melbourne"

IIRC, Hogan trained with Freo before he was drafted. The memory is a bit foggy though. Is it possible that that's how Fyfe knows him??
The West article suggests that sports journos read bigfooty (especially that old newsbreaker Hagdorn), lazy buggers!
Broken news. Us BF reporters heard this Tuesday, journos run with it 5 days later;

Yes exactly...all they need to do is make a few phone calls...and if they can't get through or there's no comment...don't print it.

How about putting some integrity back into journalism fellas'.

Google News search Jesse Hogan and look for Jay Clark's article today; gets you past the paywall. In summary, Jesse is staying at Melbourne.

Sorry folks - but we all gotta get over this Hogan thing...dribble each year, pining, whining, and the media love it cause we are all sucked in to Hogan as the answer to winning a premiership. Hi s manager plays it for all its worth -fair enough. Lets get our own, one who really wants to be at Freo. They are there if we really want to find and develop one.

Lets move on from Hogan

Rather downgrade our pick 5 for 2 1sts.. and grab Naughton and Oscar.

Huge Collins upgrade, a mobile key forward and both WA boys.

Those 2 plus Matera and Wilson.

And trade in for some pics in next years draft if we lose Croz, Tabs etc

I’d be super happy with that off season
