Good pics before and to me Harris Andrews looks very similar to Jake Payne new draftee. I have to zoom in to see who it is. Harris looks like he is getting bigger with every photo I see.

Sam Skinner is on the list, really hope the kid makes it as he looked good in the NEAFL when he played.

Looked good in the AFL too.

Really interested in seeing how Tom Bell is used this year. They loved him at Carlton for his midfield run, bash and crash at the clearance and this made up for his occasionally errant disposal. Leppa tried to turn him into a mobile 3rd tall and it just hasn't worked for him and the club. Really hope Fagan gives Bell the opportunity to push for a midfield role. He is a physical weapon and needs to opportunity to deliver. At best he could go someway to alleviating our contested ball issues.

I was watching round 1 vs. The Suns and Bell actually played quite a good pressure role.

I too think he's best 22 in 2018 at his best. The big challenge is finding that form. It's there if he wants it bad enough.

He's really never been any good at contested footy. He played wing. He was used more at clearances before his injury this year and was woeful. His kicking is nowhere near good enough for modern footy and playing him forward is the only way to hide this.

I'd see him crash and bash once every few weeks.Needs to do it way more often, either limited by endurance or will.I'm sure he's been told, but it's rare to see a major shift in this trait with a player.

I think he will be used in NEAFL and will get one or two games in seniors. I think delisting of Harwood sign of times for players like Bell, Bewick, etc - they are never going to take us to the promised land so we move on and get in as much young talent as possible and use their salary cap space to shore up Hugh, Harris, Jarrod, Witho, Hipwood ....

Ballenden with the contested mark?

Bailey extracting ...... Rayner snapping from boundary ....... Cox hitting a leading player lace out ......

And Bundy doing what I hope happens often this year ..... splitting the big ones ....

That Cox play was sublime. Pierced the loose man and the defender to hit the leading forward. Love that he just made something happen too - Mayes going round in circles in trouble, finds Cox and bam - shot on goal. Hopefully his defensive game gets up to speed because he's a genuine weapon

Was watching Cox's highlights last night. Would be great to get more games into him but it might have to be at the expense of Nick Robertson. Different players but Cox, Witherden and Mayes down back in a few years time would be a very dangerous trio.

That was something I believed Mayes lacked a year or two ago he always seemed to rush his options when under pressure. Excellent to see he is now rotating his body and circling his way around opponents to gain a second or two of time. That was a great play. Let' hope Robertson develops the same ability.

His future lies on the wing Imo. We have options down back but still lack speed and sublime skill in the. Midfield

Big difference between running circle and doing circle work. Taylor looks and plays so much better now that he has dropped the running in circles from his game.
Some blokes actually making leads forward of the ball actually helps in that regard. Rather than just standing still. And a bit of confidence always helps.

I love the new lady who does all of the interviews now, she always goes in prepared and very professional with the way she approaches everything. For the life of me, i cant remember her name, but she has made all interviews a class above previous years.

This is a good listen - just up on the lions website.
