Don't like bagging the kid out but he really would have dragged us down if we held him to his contract. Can't have blokes like that in the club his moping bout would have negatively influenced the squad.Schache departure looking more and more like the aberration it is.
I think we have already filled the void.Don't like bagging the kid out but he really would have dragged us down if we held him to his contract. Can't have blokes like that in the club his moping bout would have negatively influenced the squad.
Clugga wanted 5 year deal, club only wanted 3 year. He is in for the long haul, Rayner he is tearing the training track down Rd 1 certainty, his family and friends I speak to have all brought memberships or see about to, Witherden is the worry we need him to find a girl from Brissy who he cannot leave, at this stage not looking good. Family pulling him back to Geelong. Carb Lions 2019 Top 8 and beyond that higher up.

A lot to do with the family isn't it. Look at the contrast.
big melting pot of emotions......probably different on each individual occasion.....hard to generalize or understand. It is only a game/job so life goes on n hopefully nobody is traumatized by it all. Well said GadzorksKids moving on is bloody hard especially when they have been high achievers who have sucked up a lot of time on a daily basis. Leaves a massive hole. Some families just don't seem to adjust or plan for the change which results in pressure on the kid. And visa versa (schache)

Thats not that uncommon across the AFL. Quite a few young guys have that sort of deal when they start. Petracca was one they did this withI recall the players bagging him as his mother controls his money and he would have to go to her to get money for clothing etc.
Just wonder whether the lad would be better off asserting himself and becoming more independent.
The more I learn the more I’m glad he’s gone. Big sexy will have better luck down south or no career at all.I recall the players bagging him as his mother controls his money and he would have to go to her to get money for clothing etc.

Be happy with what we have. The buy in bar one is incredible. Back the club, back the team were goin up up uo

Is that Schache or Witherden?
I think most are fine with Schache being gone. Myself (and possibly a few others) are a bit irritated at what we traded him for - a minor pick upgrade, and Toby Wooller. If I'm right that Bailey and Starcevich would've still been available at 18 and 21, then we managed to, in just two years, turn pick 2 into a pick in the 40s.The more I learn the more I’m glad he’s gone. Tun full strength ?Much to report from training last night? I was all set to go, until a mate turned up with his kids for a swim and a few tinnies in the pool.
No way Bailey would be there at 18. Tigers were keen from what I've heard... but I do agree with the rest of the post. We got bent over if talking about talent, but I think we broke even once the full picture had been painted.I think most are fine with Schache being gone. I'm fine with what we have, but the more I look at it and think about it, I have serious question marks over our ceiling. I just don't know how we can, even in 4 or 5 years, turn this list into a contender. That said, I suppose making it up to mid-table for a year or two is better than we've had for a while, so I suppose that'll have to do for now.
