Anything? Updates? impatient I know...
Looked like the full squad out there today, can't think of anyone that was missing. Edit: Don't remember seeing Harley Bennell out there, maybe someone else saw him?

Fyfe ran laps for a while but looked fine. Hughes still has a bandage on his hand and ran some laps as well.

Highlight for me was Apeness - he looked terrible when they first came back but is starting to look a lot better. Could still play a part this year, and will be more than handy if he can.

Brady Grey looks very fit, focused and fast. Sonny was loud and constantly calling for great effort from everyone.

Cox' kicking action still looks as dodgy as it did last year. Banfield has no right foot and unfortunately could be a Suban clone. Both Hill boys looking the goods, some of Brad's passing was pretty special, the ball never seems to get above head-height.

Got anything on Crowden and Hugh Dixon?

Was Ross there?

Also, Cerra was absent for the last Wed session before Christmas, was he there?

There were so many out there today it was hard to pick up on the new guys. I noticed Crowden a couple of times because he is so short, but looked very composed in his kicking. Dixon was out there but I didn't notice anything in particular about him, sorry.

Ross was there, just observing as far as I could see he didn't take any of the drills. Cerra was out there and joined in all the drills. Looks good, but I think Brayshaw will be the real surprise package, did some pretty tricky things in some of the close work.

Just saw Dixon out for lunch with Tabs, Sherro & Logue. Dixon has 1 big set of shoulders and is almost 2 chairs wide. When they get some meat on his frame he will be a big unit. Looks to lack some size though the legs and core as is still filling into his frame which boades well from him developing more pace and power.

I hope they keep him on the running track and gym this year to develop his tank and frame and release the beast in 2019.

I went to. Harley Bennell wasn't training or sighted. Neither was Sean Darcy. Tabs and Nyhuis were still rehabbing, but both running. Tabs looks to have hit the gym hard since the end of last year. Neale, Hughes, Johnson, Kersten, Spurr, Switkowsk and Dixon just running laps building fitness. Fyfe didnt join in much, but looked fine.

Alex Pearce joined in about 3/4 of the session and seems to be building his preseason program. Apeness is joining in everything now as well.

A lot of 3/4 ground simulation today. Blakely was outstanding and pretty much dominated. Logue also looked great and was matched up on smalls throughout the session. He consistently nullified his player wonderfully on ground balls and outmarked his man in the air.

Veterans looking good bar Johnson, who looks a bit heavy. Ballantyne looks in great condition, while Mundy also looks a lot fitter than a year ago. Sandy is looking fitter than ever, but dropped some marks he should have taken in match sims.

Watched Crowden up close today and he impressed with his effort and wonderful kicking. At one point it was obvious he was struggling with a repeat running activity, but you could see him push himself hard to finish the task.

Agree Grey looks terrific and you can see him pushing himself in every drill. Both Hill's and Walters training brilliantly.

Matera looks fitter than the start of preseason already and his kicking is much better than I thought. He kicked a couple of ripping goals.

Tucker too was everywhere and didnt miss a kick that I noticed.

Cox was matched up on Sandy playing as a defender in a couple of drills. He has a ridiculously big leap. Spoiled brilliantly, but missed a few kicks.

For what it is worth they practiced both a fast style of play on football and the slower Hawthorn style of game. Dont mind the slower style if we select a few extra players who kick the football well each week. Wilson makes a difference in making us more effective with the slower style. They also continue to practice without a spare man behind the play for what it is worth. Much more man on man than previous years.

Biggest concern is no Harley. I hope Im reading too much into him not being out there and he was just in the gym.

Big Sean was out there early sherrif. He was working on the other side of the ground with Sandi, Johnno and a couple of others. He came off and went inside and didn't reappear. He was moving OK and didn't look injured, but he did look a bit distressed from the heat. I'm sure he will be fine.

There are only two establishments in which a woman has, without prior warning, swung from above and behind me, landing sitting on my shoulders and sending me crashing to the floor. One of those places was the Clink, the other was in Lan Kwai Fong. Kind of makes them sister cities in my mind.
Described as a "Lively" dining and nightlife district on Google maps. I take that is shorthand for wall to wall knock shops, drug dens and nightclubs entirely staffed by gangsters?

Thanks Duds, good to have you back

And a big thank you to sherrif too

Ok everyone unpucker.. at about the 1min mark in the first Alex Pearce re-signing vid on the website pretty sure that's Harley walking into view cooling off with water bottle in the face - obviously from running, jumping and repeat sprints on perfect calfs:p

That vision was the group getting around Pearce pre Xmas to welcome him back to full training.. it wasn’t today.. issue re Bennell calve is a live issue I expect.

Cheers. I was on the other side of the ground. Good to hear.

I didn't see Harley out there at all.

I did notice there was a camera up in the carpark pointing towards where the freo players enter the building from their cars. Not sure which station it was from but they were obviously waiting for someone to arrive.
