Lotta players need to look at someone like Patrick Cripps as a template. No matter what the stage of game, he's going in hard.

Struggle to run? No problem, hires a running coach over summer. Can't kick for goal.... works his backside off and starts hitting more often than not. Same with field kicking. Dedicates himself to improving his overhead marking to make use of his sheer size and bulk, tick. Gets saddled with the fill in captaincy role, grabs it by the horns and just goes even harder.

Talent only takes you so far, sheer workrate and competitiveness and willing to work on every aspect of your game is the rest.

Remember this is the 3rd worst team in the league. We lost by 64 points. I'm not a burn everything down poster, but we are so far away from being a competitive team it is dangerous.

I'm concerned if we don't start well next season the rebuild could be in jeopardy
