Totally agree with Gov. He needs to do some form of preseason before playing. But we all know he will be rushed back in before he is ready.

I would play him in the two's in the first two rounds and look at round 3 at the earliest.

I hope they pin up that 13th ranking in the change rooms to rub it in. Some egos back there need pegging back.

Pin that shit on Barrass’s forehead..

Petch duggan allen i recon we should send

I don't think it matters too much who we send to the bushfire relief game as they would be playing our first preseason game anyway around the same time if we didn't send them. The only down side I guess is we have less control over their workload in the bushfire relief game and where and how they are played. So given that, if it was my decision, I would only send one player from each line (i.e. only one mid, one defender and one forward). Not two mids (i.e. Shuey and Kelly - even if on different teams). Also, given Kelly needs to gain experience in the Eagles system, he really should be playing in all of our preseason games as a preference. But as I said, not sure it matters too much.

Petch would be a good one to send as he would provide some excitement for the game. Not sure Duggan would provide any excitement (which is not a criticism, as he is a handy player, but I assume the object of the match is to create a spectacle of a game with the best and most exciting players). Allen would be good but he may be held back from early preseason games given he was recovering from injury not so long ago and our potential defender injury issues? Not sure where he is at, although realise he is full training now.

Gaff will play. Still in reputation repair mode.

Shuey if fit.

Petch would be ok but not really at that level to represent Vic.

Sheppard would be about right for the Allies team.

Maybe Sheppard.

Would like to see more All Stars (being West Australian), reckon it will be Kelly, Yeo and Gaff.

Touch wood, they are all durable players. NN and Shuey to a less extent present small risks (NN big risks).

Ex-Geelong rookie Jamaine Jones has joined the race for the final list spot.

He’s already my favourite for the spot, thought he showed a decent amount at Geelong.
I can't remember anything about him, haven't Googled him yet and he is already my favourite for the spot...

I still thought he was on their list actually!

From what i have seen he would be a better option than the other 3.

Link?

Because it sure as shit wouldn’t have come directly from the club

Well he’s my favourite for the spot purely so (if he succeeds with his second chance) we can remind Geelong that he was literally right under their noses before becoming a jet with us

All aboard the JJ train

Preference is

1. Jones - For the Geelong face rubbing if it works out/remember him being alright in his brief career
2. Reid - Just because I liked what i saw from in the Beagles
3. Grey - WAFL standard footballer, not sure we'd want him when we got rid of Masten/Smith

Pickett had interested me at first till that footage came out of him.
