Fyfe is a gun, even if he gets more votes than he should. I’d like to see Cripps win from here.

Forwards and defenders need more recognition for swinging games. Even if they’ve only kicked 2-3 goals there’s plenty that have taken over games with contested marks, shutting down dangerous players etc. The only ones getting the votes are just the guys at the centres bounces/around stoppages, in the umpires eyeline, or if a forward comes out and kicks a bag.

You can hate Fyfe/Freo/AA Captain/whatever, but Fyfe's objectively had an excellent season.

Walters started very well and then tapered out, Fyfe has been v.consistent all year in a diabolically bad team.

Positive of Fyfe winning here is it undermines any and all Fremantle tears about Priddis’ Brownlow. Matt Priddis, now moves up to second least deserving Brownlow medallist in WA footy

No Priddis utterly deserved his Brownlow. Was awesome that year. Christ we could have used that particular year of contested footy this year. Perhaps you are thinking of Woewoedin?

Freo mate of mine put it well. Fyfe deserves to be a two time Brownlow winner, but this isn’t the year he deserves to win his second.

Undeniable star. Decent year. Not sure how they fix it but the Brownlow seems to be getting further and further away from the concept of “best and fairest” every season. Basically a dream team award at this point.
