Gday guys, let's get this rolling for the new year

For round 1

I feel a little limited for options this week but feel Brayshaw is the form midfielder right now, he will be my captain option if the VC score isn't high enough (110-120 should be enough, can't get too greedy and risk it backfiring with no Titchell to fall upon this year)

I will only have rookies in action Thursday night so will look at a VC on Friday night

VC Grundy or Danger into Brayshaw I think is the way to go

Gawn could be an option too though, Port are one of his favourite teams apparently

Hopefully Cogs and Zerrett show some form though so they could be future options too

Macrae could be an option for his owners too but I feel his ceiling won't be too high at the moment, more of a VC option currently

If you're planning on having a R3 loopholer, I wouldn't pick Schenslog over Bines, Geelong have more earlier games than West Coast, Bines is the better option here as West Coast will play a lot more on Saturday nights with only the odd Friday nighter. Both Bines and Schenslog have FWD DPP so a Westhoff/Lycett swing could be utilised here too. I would only pick Clarke, Fort or Sweet if you think they will play and make cash, otherwise it's a potential waste as they don't have DPP.

Macrae's lowest score last season at Marvel was 107, with an average of 127.4. Career average at the ground of 101

Grundy VC...cats rucks are horrendous. Should be good for 120+....brayshaw v port gets the C if Grundy doesn’t go 120+.

Yep. Someone on the SC forum actually did a spreadsheet. Bines is the go to loophole.

I think Geelong play later than West Coast for a few weeks when Easter Monday comes around, but they seem to play 1-2 more games on Fridays and alot more early Saturday 145/210 kickoffs, while West Coast seem to get those Saturday nighters more often

If Dusty bangs out a 130 and I'd like that as my captain score I would then change my captain to Bines (my bench ruck) and swap him for somebody on the field and put the emergency button on the new bench guy. Am I missing anything? Also, how do you choose the player to swap with Bines (as he will be scoring 0). Thanks in advance!

You've actually reached the RDT board, not the SuperCoach board. But yeah, you've got your head around it. Swap Bines with Grundy and you're set. The only risk with this through the year is if you have a late out, but Grundy is right for round 1.

He may very well go 150, but you take a 125 captain score everyday of the week. That's a great VC choice.

Leaning towards Cogs for the C

Shit truck Saturday was a regular thorn in my side last year too, wonder what game is the killer for the weekend? Melbourne vs Port maybe?

Bray into Crae for me too. Already have Cogs as C in AF so want to diversify the risk a little in case injury or spuditis strikes a given gun on a given day.
