This deal rates Laverde around pick 20 if you go by the AFL points system which we feel is fair enough. It brings in Deeman's later picks to what is a very interesting 3rd round in our draft and helps me balance my depth issues by getting 2 early picks over 2 drafts and an established player who I think is poised to breakout.

There is a lot of excitement around a fit Laverde possibly following in the footsteps of guys like De Goey, Caddy or Stringer and really ramping up as that big bodied, one out forward who can pinch hit in the middle to get some numbers. With Essendon bringing in Sheil for their midfield and getting Daniher back inside 50 he will have to fight for a spot in either group but I rate him as a talent and a lot of what I'm reading suggests he will be given every chance.

Obviously a lot on my end now revolves around how Rockford goes next year. I'll still cheer him as a mate but if he has a bad run I can feel a little better about it hehe Also lets me keep my 1st pick next year.

This deal rates Laverde around pick 20 if you go by the AFL points system which we feel is fair enough. It brings in Deeman's later picks to what is a very interesting 3rd round in our draft and helps me balance my depth issues by getting 2 early picks over 2 drafts and an established player who I think is poised to breakout.

There is a lot of excitement around a fit Laverde possibly following in the footsteps of guys like De Goey, Caddy or Stringer and really ramping up as that big bodied, one out forward who can pinch hit in the middle to get some numbers. With Essendon bringing in Sheil for their midfield and getting Daniher back inside 50 he will have to fight for a spot in either group but I rate him as a talent and a lot of what I'm reading suggests he will be given every chance.

Obviously a lot on my end now revolves around how Rockford goes next year. I'll still cheer him as a mate but if he has a bad run I can feel a little better about it hehe Also lets me keep my 1st pick next year.

Confirmed. Happy to nab a treasured top 5 pick as well as 3 more picks in the middle rounds to target some areas of the ground i'm a bit, well very weak in. Not too happy about parting with Laverde but was the one that had to go in the end so i can really attack this draft.

My 1st rounder next yr, so almost certainly pick 1, is on the table for a top 5 pick. Have plenty of picks in this years draft if a manager wants to swap some picks around...

Happy to move up and back slightly on these picks if anyone is interested.

Probably want to keep all 6 and 5 at a minimum though.

Can also be talked into trading out bulk picks next year, two firsts and a second for a single top top pick.

Thanks to the coaches who have emailed me your squad lists. Just a reminder, I will only officially delist a player from your squad as requested. A player being delisted or retired does not automatically delete them from your list, as my assumption is that you are hoping they will have a change of heart or get a lifeline. Of course, if they are not on an AFL list after the AFL Rookie Draft, all non-AFL players will be removed from the Squad Lists by me.
