WTF has it to do with your post?

You entered intp a discussion that was about both the Wingard trade and Frampton

You cant pick things out of a discussion and say what has that got to do with it, when it was clearly being writtent, oh wait yes you do, lucky I dont give a toss what you think and you dont what I think hey

AS for 6th rounder what do you think I wrote that for, it was just easier to write than a half a packet of chips
No, I didn't say anything about Wingard! It's like you are incapable of distinguishing between 2 different posters replying to you...

Again it was a 4th rounder you clown not a complete give away... but you struggle with anything resembling the truth... ;)

Blows my mind that in a position we are absolutely stacked with young talent it looks like the coaches are considering Mackay instead

From my fuzzy memory, while Nicks was at Sydney they never took the preseason games to seriously. (Playing experienced players)
Will be very interesting to see what direction he takes this year and next.

Personally I don't think Nicks has the luxury of not taking these games quite seriously in the 1st year of a rebuilding year and installing a new gameplan. Every quarter of football against AFL quality will be worth its weight in gold to our line-up.

To be fair we didn’t make any assistant coach changes this season, so to them Mackay is still a safe bet.
Other than sacking the person who most people blame for his repeated selection (Campo)?

At what point do people start to accept that their views of Mackay might be just a tad biased? After 6 senior coaches, at least one of whom wasn't influenced by Campo, all select him in the best 22?

** I know Nicks hasn't picked him yet, but he was selected in the "probables" team in the intra-club match, indicating that he is likely to be a part of Nicks' plans for 2020.

Will genuinely be in tears if Mackay plays again.

I'd rationalised it that Campo was the one pushing his barrow all along which explained why across multiple senior coaches we had the paradox of his indispensable selection status despite his woeful Best & Fairest polling.

No Campo and he's still getting a gig...?

Tears.

Hes been in the AFL system for 6 years
5 years this will be his 6 years drafted in 2013, recently turned 23. and had a few injuries early on.

And I suggest you watch him play before judging him. And not like you watched Doedee play

Also for others he a different player to Himmilburg who is more a JJ leading type of player.
While Frampton can lead for the ball, he uses his Height and Body to win the ball. In 2020 he is one of the better-contested Marker currently performing at the Crows.
I have seen both a lot in the SANFL, and to me Frampton a better Fit in the Crows as we Currently have a team full of leading Forwards but only 2 capable of crashing pack Frampton and the Shorter Fogarty. and they also happen to be the most aggressive player we have.

There's one more person who's in a position of power and been here nearly as long as the macster ... and could explain it all

[hint: he sits in a chair]

A lot of jumping at shadows that this was a "probables" team.
While the analysis was welcome, it was one guy watching an intra-club from a long way away and a puff piece by the club we are basing this on.

Yes, and Mackay's non-selection is a long awaited fantasy for many BF supporters - even if nobody within the club feels the same way. We're currently at 5 senior coaches and counting...

Yes. I do fantasies about the day we show some level of competence with player selections.

Mackay was actually one of our better performers last year.

An indictment on how much we fell apart last season, as Mackay was still his should have been delisted 5 years ago self.

I reckon Mackay was only keeping Doedee's spot warm in the match sim. If you look at that back 6, who comes out when Doedee comes back? Gibbs seems to have Nicks' blessing for the time being and I can't see Doedee playing CHB in place of McAsey.

HB: Gibbs McAsey Mackay

FB: Laird Talia Brown

which makes me wonder why Kelly wasn't wearing blue in his normal spot why put Mackay back there?

Perhaps Nicks simply favours a more attacking back six?

There's a Mackay cycle that all our coaches go through:

1. New coach comes into the club
2. No preconceived ideas, all players with a clean slate
3. Super impressed by Mackay's fitness, work ethic and professionalism during preseason
4. Note that Mackay is one of the first players to adapt to and understand new game plan
5. Select Mackay religiously
6. Start coaching reign ok
7. Mackay puts in some decent games in easy wins at home against lowly opposition
8. Team falters at key stages of the season
9. Coach continues to pin hopes on Mackay who continually let's them down when it counts
10. A season or two later the honeymoon period is over, losses mount
11. The coach starts to come under heavy scrutiny due to poor results
12. After continued poor form Mackay finally gets dropped on occasions
13. Pressure continues to mount. In a panic and as a last resort, the coach clings to their senior players even harder.
14. Mackay earns a selection reprieve, often without even playing a SANFL game
15. Coach doesn't realise that it's the senior players who are delivering the poor results
16. Coach fired

Repeat cycle

Like you said he has played for the last 5 years so we have definetly seen him, he isnt a rookie

He may help, but lets be honest you wouldnt be thinking he is the next big thing, he may or may not fill a gap, will he reach 100 AFL games not that many do, does he offer anything that others cant

He may be aggresive so is Mike Tyson but he will never play footy at the elite level, Frampton has some skill is it enough to make it at the Elite level, Port dont think so, they believe what they have is better going on what they swapped him out for

Time will tell, but no one in their right mind could say he is the missing link

Yeah I was thinking that Kelly had been keeping Doedee's spot warm for the last 12 months. Doedee and Kelly both play the 3rd tall role, Mackay plays the running rebound defender roll (not well). I would love to see Milera/Smith rotate in that role between half back and the midfield.

Yep.
If he is, on form, one of the better players atm, I don't mind him being in early in the year. Need to get some wins early on when we play some strong teams, so I'd play best available. After that, rounds 6-8 I think it is, then he can make way and we can blood youth.
