Good option for depth at both ends.i'd hate to see us delist McDonald and not pick up another mature tall in the draft or from the trade period.

McDonald?we desperately need a swingman, Levi replacement.
Sorry mate, didn't even realise the amount of quality players OOC. I hate this part of footy the most because it's brutal when you don't always get a 2nd or 3rd chance. It's all good..
We had to make spots and only use the current OOC players.
You want to keep them all and it's hard to choose, have a go Ash.
You need to
Good Luck
- Delist 2x for Mirkov (contracted) and Boyd - (rookie list)
- Delist minimum 3x draft (senior list)
- Upgrade Owies to senior list
- Delist or trade any additional players for trades (senior list)
Retire: Casboult, Murphy
Delist: Boyd (r), Cottrell (r), Gibbons, McDonald
Downgrade: Marchbank (medical)
Upgrade: Owies
Trade (possibilities, not that I necessarily want to but can see happening): Petrevski-Seton (good value), Setterfield (limited return)
Think OMac's injury is frustrating. He got a single season opportunity to prove himself and got injured. It's a rough world and not always a fair caper.
Cottrell is another rough one. I don't extend the same five-year deal to rookie listings. I think he's a tenacious player but sadly not quite up to the level. Would be fighting to keep him for the VFL list.
I'd prefer to give O'Brien an additional year to prove himself than Gibbons who while he is a proven depth player has negligible influence on games.
The Marchbank move may not be possible but it's one that I would be investigating.
Hard to argue too much with any of this, but I would look at retaining OMac if Levi is retiring. Has that fwd/def/ruck swing capability.Retire: Casboult, Murphy
Delist: Boyd (r), Cottrell (r), Gibbons, McDonald
Downgrade: Marchbank (medical)
Upgrade: Owies

What's the OMac rumour?O'Mac injury is frustrating, but if the rumour are true, no thanks, you made your own bed thanks mate.
That he didn't disclose he was receiving third party treatment for his already injured back. What's the OMac rumour?

I don't think there's anything to it.
I wouldn't be letting Mcdonald go either. If Levi retires,we'd be one tall/ruck less. Plus he can kick goals, bonus.i'd hate to see us delist McDonald and not pick up another mature tall in the draft or from the trade period.
He's from Perth though?Interesting to see that there’s speculation around Rory Lobb potentially returning to Victoria. Has two years remaining on his contract at around $700k per year which is not cheap but he could be a great replacement for Levi and be the perfect partner for TDK.

Ok, "heading to" instead of "returning to".He's from Perth though?
I wasn't trying to split hairs, it's just weird that he has apparently chosen to pursue a move to "Victoria" when he's from Perth and originally played in Sydney.Ok, "heading to" instead of "returning to".
Thoughts on Max Lynch as a trade target?

Forget Cerra. He is going to the Tiges. He barracked for them, his family barracked for them and, despite the doomsayers, they are still in the premiership window. We are not.SPS is only top 22 at the moment by way of default. Cerra would be close to one of the first half-dozen picked. Giving away draft picks at the drop of a hat as our only trading option, whenever we've identified a trade target, has only stunted our ability to build a list with the right mix of players to compete with the top sides. I also think Dow will end up the better player than SPS.
What are the rumours about McDonald?lol feel sorry for Boyd didn't even get the chance to prove himself, surely that's not on him.
I think we will give O'Brien another year, would be a silly mistake not too, yeah he's not a superstar at 21, but give him time ffs (not directed at you specifically)

As for Cottrell another tough decision, ok at winger, but AFL standard is debatable.
Lot of tough choices at end of year, would hate to be in list management at Carlton.

Also not very good. He's from Perth though?
Worth enquiring about MeekTDK requires a more physical brute style ruckman to play with him. Pittonet is decent but a Darcy/Mumford/Witts type would be IDEAL.
Worth noting Lloyd Meek had displaced Darcy as no.1 ruck start of the year and is a Vic boy.
