We are the only club in the league which Champion Data has assessed has zero elite players

It's all about data and all our previous elite players have regressed big time in the last few years. Talia has been consistent so surprise he didn't remain on that list and O'Brien had a break out season last year so will need another similar year to get him on the list.

One thing is for sure - we won't be able to say that the boys haven't put the work in over the off season. They look fitter than any group I've seen for a long time.

They're certainly carrying SFA body fat. Doesn't necessarily mean they're super fit though. Normally would and I hope it is. Fixing that part of our preparation will turn a couple close losses into wins and 5 goal losses into respectable losses. It's about building and I think there's good reason for optimism.

Very true. I'm not sure what their running or repeat sprints etc... will be like, but they at least look the part.

Nicks seems like a pretty cluey guy. I'm hoping he can bulk us up without sacrificing mobility (e.g. Sando in 2013). You can see in the training footage he's pushing players to move the ball on as quickly as possible.

Rendell was keen on Newchurch, if his opinion still carries any weight. He has said a lot of weird shit lately so I'm not sure how seriously to take him.
