they’ve made their decision already, why string it out

This was Nick Murray training in the video they put up yesterday, Ayce Taylor does seem very much well liked amongst the group and was in a few of the players socials over the last month or so too, so both are still around

Is he the ripped one, or the victim of the ripped one?

you really think they don’t know?
So you don't know. OK then.

Kelly says we have two training and need to make a decision by early March. You declare that the decision is already made - like you know it is. But you don't.
Maybe we haven't decided yet? Maybe we genuinely are giving them both a go. Maybe we won't decide until early march...

I have no doubt that they were driven. But I think its more then just an increase in personal motivation. Something seems different! You just don't see such widespread improvement in conditioning in 1 offseason. Maybe in the 2-4 year players, but rarely from so many 5-10+ year players.
I wonder if we'll soon be under investigation for these visible gains?

Rowie said pre-draft if he was the recruiter and it was a choice between Newchurch and his kid, he'd not be calling the name Rowe.
Yet, we drafted Rowe before Newchurch... ;)

But he may of made this statement before it was known Stengle was on the way out.

With all the positivity about the club I think we are due the usual get ahead of ourselves prediction.

The showdown in round 8 is shaping as a classic and potentially our first loss for the season.

Rd 1 Geelong @ home - W (round 1 at home, we come out on fire)
Rd 2 Sydney @ Sydney W (lot of great young talent in Sydney, but still expected to be around us on the ladder)
Rd 3 GC @ home W (Good Friday game, we never lose on Good Friday)
Rd 4 North @ Marvel (it's North)
Rd 5 Freo @ home (doable)
Rd 6 Hawthorn @ Tas (they could finish bottom)
Rd 7 GWS @ home (they are going in the wrong direction)

From there the wins drop off, draw gets tougher, we win 1-3 more games for the rest of the season.
I'm generally a positive person but I will be shocked if we win our 1st 7 games.

Reckon we would be happy to split them.

GWS at home is the only one I feel a tad bit confident on, and that's only because we rolled them in 2020. Rest does not look good at all. All of the even match ups are away from home, all of the low probability matches are at home.

A bit of focus on Newchurch in the footage, I think this kids ceiling is really high, gonna be interesting watching his development
Perfect rookie selection - potential high ceiling, but obviously high risk he makes it... but if we get back to a quality development program, we can get back to developing quality long term players from rookies. Charlie Cameron was our last quality rookie player.
