Stengle already has a current teammate who has done a phenomenal job of not getting caught given everyone I run into is well aware of his nasal decongestion issues. Pity he didn't pass on any tips to Stengle.
We need him out of the club ASAP.

I seem to remember a year when Essendon put A LOT of bulk on in one off-season!I have no doubt that they were driven. But I think its more then just an increase in personal motivation. Something seems different! You just don't see such widespread improvement in conditioning in 1 offseason. Maybe in the 2-4 year players, but rarely from so many 5-10+ year players.
Yeah I also Hird about that....I seem to remember a year when Essendon put A LOT of bulk on in one off-season!
Was there a subtle change to their song that year???Yeah I also Hird about that....
Get it
Putting aside how Jacobs left the club, his tap work was among the best in the comp. Salivating imagining how much more amazing ROB will be!
I like that subtle little dig at the bottom of the article:Saints loving them some ex Crows...

Of our 1-3 year players what are your vibes going into season? Would say mine are
Bullish:
Scholl, Hamill, Schonberg
Optimistic:
Hately, Thilthorpe, Pedlar, O'Connor, Newchurch, McPhersin
50:50:
McHenry, Worrell, McAsey, Gollant, Rowe, Borlase, Berry
Bit worried:
Jones
Giving up on:
None
You haven't mentioned Cook. I am optimistic about him, although he might be a boom or bust type of kid. Bit hard to tell after an explosive entry into the draft!Where I'm sitting before the preseason games.

I should say I'm probably being a tad harsh on Jones, as I'm optimistic about his chances of rebounding in 2021 seeing he looks like he's put some work into his body over the off-season, but he's coming from a long way back after his struggles last season. Though McHenry got bumped into the optimistic section based on the improvements to his body, but that's really the major flaw of Neds profile as he needs to be big enough to be a Zorko like player in the midfield.
Worrell enters the bit worried section because there is a really noticeable apathy around him at the moment. Borlase isn't a profile I'm that excited about to justify my position, though I can certainly see an AFL player in Borlase more readily then some profiles I am bullish about (i.e. Gollant, where my excitement is entirely from how much Adelaide keeps mentioning him as a player who is impressing).
Change but they can't get near toWas there a subtle change to their song that year???
AFL Club Themes
Essendon Bombers Lyrics
See the Bombers shoot up, up!
To win the premiership flag,
Our boys who play this grand old game,
Are always striving for glory and fame!
See the bombers shoot up, up,
The other teams they don't fear,
They all try their best,
But they can't get near,
As the bombers shoot up!

I reckon he'd still be in the rehab group at this stageI blame the list I was given
Though Cook is definitely in the optimistic category for me. Disappointed we're yet to hear anything, but it's too soon to be anything but, especially after his draft year.

Where's McAsey on that list?

DSpeaking of ruckmen, is anyone else besides me still pretty surprised we kept strachan and frampton?
Frampton mightve been saved by his contract and might be good backup depending on how tilthorpe goes this year. Strachan tho, we must see something in him surely. He's pretty tall isn't he, 206 or something like that i reckon. I've seen in one of our pics that he was going to outdo ROB in a tap. If he can put some beef on but not lose running power he might end up being a really good tap ruckman.

Yes.Clarke was no slouch in the tap ruck business.
The question I have is Jacobs only helping due to Clarke absent due to Covid quarantine issues
Strachan should have been delisted last year and will be end of year imo. Frampton will be delisted once his contract finishes.Speaking of ruckmen, is anyone else besides me still pretty surprised we kept strachan and frampton?

And our Ruck depth if ROB goes down is what exactly?Strachan should have been delisted last year and will be end of year imo. Frampton will be delisted once his contract finishes.
