Still want to see Worrell in some capacity, but the coaches seem dead set against it.

Our defenders got exposed today for structure as well as in the contest

Got isolated one out too often and lost those contests

The experienced guys (Brown, Kelly) were never able to give anyone a chop out. Just dutifully tailed after their ignored opponents leaving Murray and Butts to do all the defending one-on-one.

Doedee is the only truly "experienced" player in our defence at the moment who reads the play and helps others.

In the 2nd and 3rd quarter when their midfield was running rings around us we got exposed badly at the back, especially Murray

Newchurch is in for taster game or two - I know hes a slow burn and all that but its hard to show anything in our SANFL forward half atm. RT wasn't showing much either but is performing at AFL level. I'm not saying he will play to that standard but I'm sure he can offer something.

Switch Mackay to the sub, and give a full game to Hamill. The only other thing you could go is Worrell for Murray, but I'm comfortable giving Nick a block of games just to see if he can work it out.

I'm not sure Worrall is the answer replacing Murray. He really hasn't looked good when playing genuine defensive roles in the SANFL.

McKay was putrid - if we are developing get the kids in play Hammill or Worrell or the ROC before him - his turnovers today were extremely costly - a least let a kid make the same mistakes that he does.
