DerCarlton are going to beat us
They concede goals for fun. They've been impressive, we will have our work cut out beating them especially if they get Weitering back, their midfield is scary good.
About the only area we have an advantage over them is the ruck, Ryder and Marshall could work over De Koning and Silvagni.
Love your work as always Lenny
Was getting a beer, is that when the Richmond player was helped off the ground?Tom Stewart is going to have a reasonable holiday one would think. Pretty ordinary.
Yep. Should get 3-4 weeks. Was getting a beer, is that when the Richmond player was helped off the ground?
North Melbourne had pie cam the other week.Qtr time entertainment is looking for people with mullets.
Yes we need more of this 'entertainment'.
Playing Cool for Cats by UK Squeeze. I was 20 when that was released FFS.
Just hopped on the light railHow's up norf?
Is the light rail any good?
Speccies > Dion PrestiaThe Stewart incident just shows how full of s**t the AFL are when it comes to concussion safety.
Mitch Lewis hit a flying knee to the back of Ed Richards head last night, knocking him out, and nary a word was spoken.
Why?
Because he was flying for a 'speccy'. A highlight of the sport.
Now, if the AFL truly cared about CTE/concussions and long term player health, they'd put the same "duty of care" mandate into high marks as they do blocking/bumping.
I'm not looking to get Lewis banned here BTW. Just pointing out the hypocrisy. You'd be hard pressed to find a doctor that would say Stewart's bump is bad but Lewis' blindsided knee is ok.
Ultimately the AFL don't actually GAF about player health. They only worry about concussions when it comes to litigation later on.
Deep down they want to get rid of the bump because they want star players winning the ball and being highlighted. They just don't have the courage to take the contest out of the game completely.
It's akin to governments and smoking. They don't really care about public health. They just want to be seen to be caring. So they ban the advertising and packaging, put all sorts of nasty images out there, and tax the s**t out of it to cash in, rather than outright banning it.
Paddy got two for his stationary “bump” - not even close to this - let’s see what happens.Yep. Should get 3-4 weeks.
While we are at it a player running back with the flight of the footy to take a mark knocks himself out on a goalpost. Lets get rid of the goalposts. The Stewart incident just shows how full of s**t the AFL are when it comes to concussion safety.
