They've been impressive, we will have our work cut out beating them especially if they get Weitering back, their midfield is scary good.

About the only area we have an advantage over them is the ruck, Ryder and Marshall could work over De Koning and Silvagni.
They concede goals for fun.
Just need to get it into their back 50.

Qtr time entertainment is looking for people with mullets.

Yes we need more of this 'entertainment'.

Playing Cool for Cats by UK Squeeze. I was 20 when that was released FFS.
North Melbourne had pie cam the other week.

Richmond still right in this, 20 points down but Geelong are getting their home ground umpiring ride with free kicks 15-6 in their favour despite the game being at Richmond's home ground.

It's not often I barrack for Richmond but I am today, so sick of the charmed ride Geelong get with the umpiring and the fixturing.

Stewart will probably only cop a fine from the MRP too while Prestia will cop a couple of weeks for staging.

Congrats to Jack Newnes today for 200 games and its nice to see him in a team achieving some sucess. He deserves it after all the hard slog years he did with us.

For what its worth some how it seems he has even improved his kicking. Or he chosing targets within his range. Either way he has improved.

Likewise Fremantle missed Acres work up and down the wings today.

The Stewart incident just shows how full of shit the AFL are when it comes to concussion safety.

Mitch Lewis hit a flying knee to the back of Ed Richards head last night, knocking him out, and nary a word was spoken.

Why?

Because he was flying for a 'speccy'. A highlight of the sport.

Now, if the AFL truly cared about CTE/concussions and long term player health, they'd put the same "duty of care" mandate into high marks as they do blocking/bumping.

I'm not looking to get Lewis banned here BTW. Just pointing out the hypocrisy. You'd be hard pressed to find a doctor that would say Stewart's bump is bad but Lewis' blindsided knee is ok.

Ultimately the AFL don't actually GAF about player health. They only worry about concussions when it comes to litigation later on.

Deep down they want to get rid of the bump because they want star players winning the ball and being highlighted. They just don't have the courage to take the contest out of the game completely.

It's akin to governments and smoking. They don't really care about public health. They just want to be seen to be caring. So they ban the advertising and packaging, put all sorts of nasty images out there, and tax the shit out of it to cash in, rather than outright banning it.

While we are at it a player running back with the flight of the footy to take a mark knocks himself out on a goalpost. Lets get rid of the goalposts.

Do not compare incidental contact to a thug act.
