Two or three free kicks could have been paid to GCE in the last 90 seconds and nothing. First hint of a free to Collingwood and the umpire is on his whistle like a baby onto a dummy!! Faaaark off

No matter how North Melbourne finish the rest of the year - they don't deserve, nor should they receive, the Priority Pick.

They are in this state because of the actions of the board and various coaches. They dumped 5 or 6 best 22 players for nothing a few years ago, and it blew up in their faces. They shouldn't be rewarded for the mess they've made.

Sacking Brad Scott was a mistake, too.

With Collingwood's run home they will be hard to unseat from the top eight
I think they've got a pretty tough draw, they need to win 3 from the remaining 7.

v North
@ Adelaide
v Essendon
v Port
v Melbourne
@ Sydney
v Carlton

They should beat North, Adelaide will be a test as will Essendon, and the others can beat them.

Looks like a serious knee for Darcy Moore though - a big loss for them.

With Darcy Moore injured, that run gets a bit harder.

They've won a lot of close ones the past month. Their luck will run out soon and they will lose one they shouldn't.

As biased as he is, David King made a good point; How many teams hit rock bottom like this through no fault of their own?

Everyone says "they did it to themselves" but so has every wooden spoon team over the years.

North are as bad a team on field as I can every remember seeing.

Their whole coaching staff needs to go & they see someone (as crazy as it sounds) like Alan Richardson.

They need an honest, blue collar guy, who knows how to talk to kids and get them to buy in and back each other up. Skills and strategy will come but for the next 3-4 years they need to do what we did and develop a culture of contested football.

I don't like teams getting extra picks but, assuming they clear out everyone off field, then I can live with them getting that pick #19 every wants to get their hands on each year.

Dumped 15 players at once or something ridiculous and gave away guys like Ben Brown for nothing. They made their own bed.

I remember cracking the shits in round one saying that our defence made Ginnivan look like a mini Plugger. Looks like it wasn't one off. He's turned out to be a very good forward.
He's building up some kind of body of work in the heavy negative karma space and will eventually cop it and I will raise my glass and toast
whoever gets him. He is a AA Campaigner.

North getting smashed every week and Callum Coleman-Jones is still playing reserves. 🤔

He's probably getting close to Weightman levels of annoying. I can't help liking him somehow though. DeGoey looked very average yesterday, Ginnivan looks more like a $1 million PA player than him.

If you believe all the talk sounds like the Saints are right into De Goey.

Whatdya reckon?

Geez not even really any hope of an upset to benefit the Saints and make today's games more interesting. Wouldn't it be nice to see the Eagles beat Richmond?!!!

Ain't gonna happen is it...

Port may be a small chance against Freo. Seems they've managed to get a few good players back over the last few weeks. Unfortunately it's in Perth so unlikely. Hopefully big Charlie D and BT's favourite Orazio Fantasia can pile on some goals.

The Brown picks went to Stephenson, incredibly poor trade for Brown, but Collingwood dipped out on Stephenson as well so not the worst result for North.

As for the 11 delisted, ( including Wood ), I just don't see the point unless you have players to bring in, and 2020 was the Covid year. Then they mess around with the players like Polec, Corr and others.

They have made some really odd choices and some turned out unlucky, like a pick swap that gave them Melbourne's 2020 first.

They traded the Caleb Serong pick, for 26, 50 and Melbourne's 2020 first.
Melbourne then traded it ( pick 8) to Freo for 10 and 28.
Now North Might have added up the points for that trade but it was a dumb dumb trade as far as getting talent into the club.
Best result for them would have been keep pick 8 and get Serong, but 10 and 28 would have been better than what they ended up with.

They swapped all sorts of picks that year and somehow ended up with an empty hand.

Tim Taranto watch, surely he's gone from GWS when they're coachless and he's out of contract

Oh what a surprise, Richmond get to smash the Eagles twice, and Geelong the astounding luck of belting North AND the Eagles twice. So happy all those percentage boosters mean little in a tight season.

It's only fair that those two clubs get a leg up with the fixtures since they have been so starved of success in recent years.

At least West Coast are more competitive now and aren't getting flogged as much but playing North twice is a huge advantage with how bad they are.

Timton Tarantino update, 10 touches to 1/4 time, some just mung punts in the wet trying to gain possession from clearances that aren't that great, but his hands at clearances clean in the wet and his positioning and reading of the play is good which is why he's getting it and the one bombing down the line in the wet. I'll take him, he can have Jones' spot until Jones does something a bit more than break lines and bomb long.

InB4 all the numpties flood in claiming he’s useless!
