Has arrived and just about to head through Customs as we speak

The entire situation reeks of white colonisation.

This is literally the stolen generation being perpetuated in an AFL field.

Taking and isolating young indigenous people away from their family and comfort so they can “excel”.

Now Clarko and the likes probably rationalise this stuff saying they’re doing it for their players betterment etc but it’s just inhumane behaviour.

If you go to work whether you’re a plumber, a banker or a footy player your employer should have no say in anything of that sort.

Now we don’t know the full story or anything but based in the article if there are emails sent this should be fairly easy to verify one way or the other. Just something to remember the ABC have named people in their article. The fact they have done that leads me to believe they’ve seen evidence and they’re prepared to be sued if it came to it.

It is tragic but not close to stolen generation.

I wonder if Dodoro will be kicked out?

Him to Port, Cripps to us, Gal to remote in to Bombers from SA.

Would laugh a hearty laugh if that were to happen. But nah, depends on how many Dodo's are in that corner still after the review.

Odd how both Fagan & Clarkson have been reinstated in the space of two days

I reckon they spoke to the AFL, the AFL said "don't worry we'll whitewash the whole thing, the media's forgotten about it, we'll just drag it out for a while and then eventually go with the cultural differences explanation and it'll all be fine".

I still think we should have given him another year

With Ross back it probably makes more sense. When we were rebuilding again under Ratts it made a lot less sense.

Can't see the club sticking its neck out again to make the same mistake twice.

If he came as a rookie pick up he probably makes very little difference either way unless there is another DFA they are keen on. He certainly wouldn't be a priority.

No difference.
If we were guaranteed 10 games - maybe.
As it is, total waste of a list spot.

I can't see how the families would be happy with that resolution tbh

They haven't had the review yet, have they?
I think they have until December 31st or something

I’m Hanneberys biggest supporter but it’s time for us to move on. I wish it had worked out, but he went out on a nice high with us.

I’ll still defend that trade, in hindsight it was bad but it was an inspired idea. We tried something, it didn’t work out.

Regardless, he was the type of player we desperately needed at the time.

Oh yeah not saying it's the right thing, just that I reckon that's what they'll do. And then the families will be unhappy and then it'll make a bit of a splash in the media and on twitter for a couple of days and then eventually everyone will forget about it.

Yeah I'm not sure it will be swept that easily

When Hannebery has actually been on the park for us he was still a gun player. Nowhere near his previous level obviously but more than capable. What I don't understand is why GC would roll the dice on him. It might make sense for a club in contention to try and rope him in for a stewy dew or Sam Mitchell type cameo, but the Suns?

I reckon they'll be treating him as a playing coach then will roll him into a development coaching role the year after
