Umpires taking the piss now.

Funny how it's only a few certain clubs that get a pass. I remember looking at the disparity of each clubs free kicks for and against back in 2018, not surprising to see some of the clubs in the positive.

I just don't want the umpires to have an impact on every single game.
I'm tired of the 50/50 free kicks that are called which could go either way. I'm tired of hearing the whistle blow and every player stops because nobody knows why.
I'm tired of this new rule where a player is given 50 meter penalty for showing a tiny bit of emotion after potentially a 50/50 call.

Umpires shouldn't be abused at a local level - or at a senior level. But this isn't abuse. They already had rules to use when players abused them.

Yet when you said it earlier you were 100% wrong. That suggests you are looking at the game with one eye so it’s hard to take you seriously. I’d suggest hawthorn certainly have more goals through free kicks

I hate both sides but the way the Hawks play is going for the ball and playing. Cats Gflop for frees and are given cheap frees for FA in front of goal. The umpires have had a huge outcome on this game. They are are there to make the game even and fair. Not as a nefarious force that is there to set up wins for one side.

It shouldn't necessarily balance.
But sometimes teams play like thugs and get away with it most of the day, while the other team gets pinged for every little thing.

Should just morph to NFL and be done with it, lets have 5 minute spots where umps stare at cameras and explain why things happened so instead of 2 and a bit hours we have half day games.

See if the spectacle gets any clearer, because kinda unsure if any of them have any clue WTF they are doing in any match such is the randomness of it.

Yet you and others whinging probably haven’t seen a local game this year. I’ve seen many and it’s working very well and that’s without even having the rule. Kids and adults are behaving better. Actually it’s a little boring not being abused as much.

Yep 4 frees to 10. 3 goals to nil. If they are cheating they are failing worse than us in the 80’s. Hard to take that comment even slightly seriously
